  1. Thats just the throttle map not being progressive enough, get a linear throttle map on there will feel much better!
  2. Well something i have never witnessed is a fly by wire system as responsive as cable..... Maybe just a personal thing...
  3. The lack of throttle response and the numb feel you get from the throttle! not good for heel and toe.
  4. Yeah thats the plan, need the gay fly by wire too
  5. Hi All just wondering exactly what is needed to change from my k reg obd 1 dizzy cab model to a 24v 2.8 mk4 golf engine....?
  6. Yeah I done a full day at brandshatch last week, tyres where really good, postive turn on in and very gd grip. Much better than the AD08's i was running previous. I did however kill the front left in that one day(soft compound), but dont put that down to the tyres. Because i done exactly the same with a set of AD08's always kill the front left. Think the car needs setting up a bit better tbh. But i will be buying a full set of max sports next going with the medium compound this time see how it fairs up. well recommend for the money though cheapest i have found them is a website called EARS.co.
  7. £150 for the pair they only make them in like 6 different sizes so u cant be picky lol
  8. Just another little quick update really disnt realise this pic wasnt on here, after doing bhp show found the car getting a bit warm both coolant and oil so made some adjustments to the front end Then with the car resting in the garage ready for its next track day i spotted the windscreen had cracked while it had just been sitting in the garage, new screen then please Then after realising one of my AD08's was looking a bit worse for wear..... after 45 miles :@ lol I found these dunno if people have use them before but for the price i thought id give em a go Also had the car on the dyno for
  9. Just thought i'd post this up here not sure if it's been mentioned already but he day is £225 for the track 10% discou nt available though, there is also show and shine being held its free to get in so why the hell not come down and watch a VR6 own everything on track - http://www.clubmsv.com/car-home/event-details.aspx?productid=1509&msvcode=ultimatevag&utm_source=ultimatevag&utm_medium=URL&utm_campaign=ultimatevag
  10. Just a Quick bump I and the car will be at brands hatch on august 25th at the ultimate VAG track day
  11. Yeah gets a bit nasty when 2 people think there in the right but it's obvious someone is wrong lol
  12. Ok so finally got the car in a state where it's ready for track lol but here's some more pics before it reached that stage Pulled the subframe off to polybush the front end Had a slight issue with corrosion had to get a few new bolts etc 5 days before its debut on track and we had to get the grinder back out to cut off corroded bolts on the lower ball joints.... Got hold of some 2nd hand springs just before bhp ! Just to try and improve the handling a bit more as I couldn't afford coil overs ATM.... So here's H & R springs against stock The koni shocks the car come with Strut built
  13. ecfectively both lol u have to weld the mounts in but the cage bolts to the mounts thanks for the positive support btw
  14. Right another big gap in the project update but got some serious progress now as trying to finish the car for BHP show on the 7th of may... so less of the talking and heres some i mean lots of pics enjoy just a quick trial fit of the seat steering wheel and harnesses So needed to get some paint on the inside, primered the bare metal first Then it was time for some trusty matt black I then found out that my old mk4 short shift would fit when my friend broke his mk4 linkage and borrowed my vr6 one WIN! Finally got some rubber for the comps, yokohama AD08's cheeky oil chan
  15. will just be some sort of cable attached to the door and the lock and pull n go lol
