  1. I was told to avoid drilled becasue they can crack. Braided hoses make much of a difference? Any 2pot or 4pot calipers that fit 288s?
  2. Time that they were getting changed soon. What would you recommend? They are stock 288s atm and im wanting to stay with 288s incase i want ot run 16s (heard not all 16s clear 312s) but always thought it could stop better.
  3. White on white works soo well. Makes such a difference from polished TT comps I wrapped the 6 branch on mine when it was fitted. Make sure you have a good few hours spare. There will be alot of swearing and shouting aswel haha
  4. I got a vento bonnet in the back with seas fold down. But i had to slide the front seats forward. Not the most comfy drive home though.
  5. Ill get the form sent off this week. I got told from a few people that petrol has to be in the red before they let us in? any other regulations?
  6. ooooh I thought yous were waiting to see if we had got inside. best get hotel booked
  7. Thanks guys and gals Cant wait for UD. Got a few things that need to be done, bits need repainting, sorting out adaptors for perfect stance and then detailing Any word back from the UD organisers?
  8. Today when I pressed the brake pedal there seems to be no feel but the car still stopped. but there didnt seem to be a bite like there usually was. The pedal seemed to just go straight down and only had slight feel near the bottom. However when I lift of the pedla and press again the brakes felt normal. Something is definately not right Any ideas? Thanks
  9. When your welding younrisk warping the bootlid and not getting the lines correct. Easier to just buy a US bootlid as it happens I might be setting something up with a lad in the US to get parts brought over. If your interested let me know. Nothing is finalised as of yet, but we are trying to work something out.
  10. Every thursday at 7pm DurhamDubs hold their weekly meets. Located in Belmont business park (The old pagebet unit) Postcode if you don't know where it is DH1 1TW Be good to get some VR6 owners there!
  11. Its round by the connecters that get corroded. Happened to the ones I bought for my polo and I got those from HIDS4U.
  12. Is it catching on the bumper? The tyres on my RFs were catching the corner of the rear bumper and those has near enough single ET figures on the back. I had the arches rolled so I know it couldnt be the arches. When the car went in for paint we cut some the bumper away on the inside. Its not visually noticable where its been cut but its stopped the catching. 195s should help. The falkens stretch really well.
  13. I was going ot mount them to the inner wings but with not having arch liners they will get covered in crap. My mate said pput the ballasts in balloons or sandwich bags, which is a good idea but its not going to look tidy.
  14. The ballasts ive got dont have screw holes, they have brackets that go over the top. But i dont want to drill extra holes in the car and I cant find anywhere to cable tie them to.
  15. bought HIDs the other day but cant decide on where to mount them to. (on my phone so cant search properly) I would prefer them out of the way cos the ballasts arent the nicest looking things. But anything will do atm. Pics would be a great help Thanks
  16. I get confused with the clio cups and trophoes, but you can spec them up to be a cup and not actually be a cup or something.... All I know is if you see 2 centralish exhausts then its a 182 and not a 172.
  17. How do you know if you will need to disconnect the yellow wire? I still need to buy some HIds, especially now its winter. Standard mk3 headlights are like candle sticks.
  18. If they are jag wheels you can get away with BMw adaptors (might need a little bit of work, but nothing major). Best to find out offsets cos jag and BMW arent always adaptor friendly.
  19. ahhh I see well falkens have 3 parts the big centre section and inner and outer tread. So the innder and outer tread can be down aslong as the centre section is over 1.6mm?
  20. Yeah. If you at the tyre the tread is like angled up. Just checked the mileage and they have only done 1500miles I've got pics of one of the tyre, just need to upload them to the comuter. What you mean central 3/4s. Got a pic or a diagram? Thanks
  21. I bought brand new falkens on the first of september and the front tyres might need replacing already. The back look like I just bought them today. I am running camber up front so the inside is where its worn. The rest has about 4mm. Will they need changing if its just the inside that's worn down? I also noticed thatt on the front tyres the tread isn't flat to the tyre. Its stood up at the end (kinda had explain) but it doesn't look normal. Thanks
  22. Mine is satin silver. Which I've been told is a rare colour for a mk3. I haven't seen many on the road tbh. We need to add pics to this thread so we can see the colours. Would love a white mk3 vr but didn't many for sale.
  23. If you can get me a few pics of how you want your car to see then ill try and work out what final ET you need. The ET of the wheels would be good as well.
  24. It all depends on how you want your car to sit. -tuk -flush -poke You need to decide on tyre size as well. My vote would be 195/40 all round, but to pull that off you need to roll pretty low so you dont have massive arch gap or you could go for 195/45s if you want more clearance under the car.
