Oh, what happened there then??? Sorry i left abit early! Good to see everyone as always. Can we have more meets nearer my home? Then i could i have a few more pints an walk home!!
Yes they do, i was running 17" santa monicas, and now i've got 17" tt ronal alloys, both fit over the brakes. I think its some after market wheels you have to be careful with.
Katies vr did this over xmas, and yes, its probably the oil cooler has come loose. Just nip it up, don't over-tighten it, but if that doesn't cure it you may need to buy the seals for it.
You may find you need a spacer between the carrier and the hub, i did when i installed mine. I think it was 6mm. Very good brakes on a mk3, but the discs and pads are quite expensive, but then they are huge!!
The fans should be joined together with a small rubber drive belt, it may have popped off or broke and should be lying between the fans and the radiator. This could be why your temps got so high, or it could be that it needs a service as i've found this to help. Fresh oil can help dispense the heat around the engine.
Thats quite a neat idea, will it work with any standalone ecu? Like my K3? It makes sense not too have too may gauges to look at as it could get quite confusing.
I used the b pillar seat belt mounting point, and mounted the other side on the tunnel, using some pre made plates with a nut on the middle, like these http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Motorsport/Harnesses_&_Accessories/Harness_Eye_Bolts_&_Plates/Willans_Stress_Plate/1758/0/14794
