    Right, after the slight change of subject .... Back to the build! Fabricating the rear inner arches to join the mk3 towers to the mk1 chassis. Then joining the rear floor pan upright section to the mk3 floor to add some strength back into the car/floor. And making a start on the rear diff cross brace, which i'll finish next week. Thats all for now. Its starting to look almost car like, which makes parky a happy chappy :)

    Berg cup it, mainly due to the wider track, plus the motorsport theme/look works for me. And it will be staying mars red!

    Oh yes, this mk1 will be 4wd, basically my mk3 vrt, haldex 4wd. That's the rear subframe under it, just going for a different design to include the rollcage.

    The top brace, between the strut towers is staying, the rest is gone! I used it to keep the distance correct, and the towers true. The smaller diameter tube was just to brace it for the night, which have now been cut off, along with the 2 diagonal tubes.

    Blimey! Has it really been this long since i've updated this thread? Must try harder!! Progress time people! I folded a new bulkhead a while ago, an tacked it in place. It still needs holes for the steering column etc, but i can do that at a later date. And i've made a start on the rear end suspension strut towers. More holes in the mk1!!

    You could run a low boost setup, or a supercharger? That way you'll get progressive boost and torque.

    It wasn't when we were at action was it? You might be able to claim some of it back because he lost it? Bummer though mate, but it's his phone, his invoice! (that's what my parents would have done - made me pay).

    Can anyone recommend a good external cd drive for my netbook? There's thousands on eBay, but I'm not really sure which 1 will be best. I'll mostly use it for transferring music onto iTunes. Cheers
