    No your head unit is not wired into you alarm different kind of logic. Your stereo should have 2 squarish plugs on the rear just pull them apart from the car wiring loom whilst pressing the lugs on the side and your new stereo should have the same plugs "iso" standard you may need an adapter available from halfrauds or car stereo shop if your wiring has been cannibalized.

    2.8s from that year have 174bhp 2.9s have 190bhp so should see an increase in power both are obd1 so should slot straight in I would use the 2.9 head with the2.9 block

    The standard bolts are stretch bolts so will need replacing Genuine vw headgasket is the best.

    You can replace the plastic part by taking the door panel off and unscrewing it from the cloth/leather part fairly easy. You haven't got overdeep speakers in the doors pushing the panel off have you?

    I would double check the part under the scuttle tray isnt blocked in the corners allowing water to flow into the passenger side around the pollen filter.

    Would the header tank fit if it was bolted rear hole to front bolt position.

    Last year at the annual event one of the London boys that turned up in the evening had Hid's in his celis im looking soon for the bulbs as i already have the coils.

    Would need to be chipped but a decent locksmith should be able to help with that. Unless you have had the immobiliser defeated.

    Blowing centre box should not make it run lumpy maybe dirty maf but could be many things try disconnecting the maf to see if it makes any difference. A place that makes custom exhausts should be able to make up a pipe to delete the box i used a company called RSR in Redhill to make an exhaust for my mk1.

    You can get twin turbo's on an R32 but i guess it all depends on what manifold and how big the turbo's are if your having a manifold made you might be better off with the turbo's above it.

    My abs pump removed sent off and repaired will be costing me £545 very shortly but i had a knackered rear sensor abs did not cut in when not needed. I have been advised to always buy genuine sensors my pattern ones were plastic bodied genuine ones are metal And Expensive .
