Whats the warranty? They say on there website its only for professional installs which means it wouldn't cover most of us On kevs im cracking up thread you said you were speaking to them about it, What was the outcome of this, What do SPA say about it?? How many warranty clames does C2 have when using this manifold? It does seem thats theres a problem with them (not only kevs) which i think people will find hard to ignore, Looks like its going to have to be ATPs manifold and downpipe plus a grinder and some tears, Its a shame really
-
I think im going to send SPA a email asking about the problems kev has had and about the ground off name, See if they say anythink about a bad batch! hopefully they will give us abit more confidence about there manifold, Ill post replys later
-
I agree, the SPA would be best, simple down pipe to fab, Turbo in a nice place plus you can run standard inlet It would be nice to find out if kevs was a doggy one as it does have the name ground off, Why else would they do that? Plus if SPA offer a lifetime guarantee why worry about it, depending on there exchange policy (would they want old mani back first) Just thinking if doing a mod like this would help Standard Modded If you cut though them bits of metal then it would be less lighty to crack due to there been room for expansion Just a idea

Your probaly right dude, That way it be under more pressure i think, as it would have to get forsed out the top?, In that link sharky posted it shows you how you can rotate the oil feeds and inlet so it would be pukkas from that respect
-
Don't think there's much chose from tbf, Little summary from what Ive read, SPA is pants, Kinetic seems a big no no on RHD which leaves you with the most popular and reliable ATP manifold If that ATP downpipe for the turbo fitted upside down is a nice fit or reqs only slight modifaction on RHD then were laffin, If not i wouldn't fancy making a downpipe up like that atall, Which means using a short runner making the downpipe easyer to fab, Wish id got a Tig welder as a custom inlet wouldn't be very ££££ to make, Just standard lower inlet mani and big ally tube, Altho id need loads of prac

Considering you got a nice GT30 sitting at home im sure you will have done it before me, Ive been asking question about turbos for the last few years and finally getting to the sort of age its possible. At least this way when the time comes ill have a good idea what needs doing
-
fucking sound then, nice one, i was wondering what you ment by clock it in your thread! Are you going to try that ATP downpipe? If you do i wait with interest as to if its a good fit lol
-
Thanks lad vr and sharky So you can mount the turbo upside down, Doesn't matter about oil feed coming in the top drain out the bottom? Right you know how the turbo outlet (compression side) is facing down, If you slack the ring of bolts can you twist it so the outlet is facing upward towards the standard inlet manifold? Pritty sure you could on the trucks i used to work on

Could i use the ATP mainfold with standard inlet/ no intercooler? Also got a feeling that turbo (T3/4) link above really wouldn't be a very good match on a VRT ?? Would a T04E http://www.spturboparts.com/afterMarket/ViewDetails.aspx?prod=16244 Or a 60-1 http://www.spturboparts.com/afterMarket/ViewDetails.aspx?prod=16243 Be any better? When the time comes id be looking to spend £400-£500 on a turbo Also where do you get the flange for the 3" V band for a custom downpipe? C2 do you sell LHD 3" v band down pipes that i could use the flange and first elbow? Would there be any need fo

Its lasting alright isn't it? Arn't you scared about running lean? Have you got EGT and AFR gauges?
-
you can get a 02M from a FWD mk4 golf that reqs no work If you use a 02m from a AWD mk4 then you need it stripped down a rebuilt without the rear output http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2633108&page=1 Doesn't look to bad tbf, Not a strate swap but seems easy enough
-
I think so bobtrude begi fpr is what i ment anyway lol, is that what your running? Eat this no ones nos yet lol think you have to get a blanking plate and have somthing remove out the box when stripped down, Like a drive gear or somthink, Don't think it would work with just the prop disconnected or not very ideal, Anwser is probaly deap inside vwvortex somwhere lol. Alex might have found out what needs doing

Just wondering what exhaust mainfold this is, Or what mainfold could be used The plan is to start off without an intercooler Some of these http://www.spturboparts.com/afterMarket/ViewDetails.aspx?prod=15909 One of these (could you run with with standard inlet manni?) http://www.spturboparts.com/afterMarket/ViewDetails.aspx?prod=16349 one of these to start off (not ideal but cheep and good make) http://www.spturboparts.com/afterMarket/ViewDetails.aspx?prod=16241 What would a VR with that turbo drive like? One of these (is it the right one?) http://www.spturboparts.com/afterMarket/ViewDeta

Can I Disable The ABS System?
Phat VR6 replied to Seademon's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?249979 Hope this helps, everything you need to do ive writen in hear Takes some time to make it stop properly getting front and back balance set up, Touch me a hole day of jacking up moving LSV a little, taking it for a drive, jack up again adjust, but now its perfix You'd be surprised how much better they stop without ABS but you have to concentrate a hell of a lot more -
good man I always wondered how this can be done on standard mk3 shell, Please document with lots of pictures, mainly of of the rear underpan mods and fab your going to have to do and how your going to mount sycro rear axle! Do the suspension turrets at the back need to be modded? Apparently front subframe and exhaust tunnel are the same so its only the rear end your going to have to chop about with Are you going to run helix mk4 diffs? At this point i think a 2nd C38 should be added lol Once finished this will be pritty much as good / fast as a mk3 can be imo, Interested to see figures
-
someone on hear needs to do it and set the example lol Recon in a few years vrts with 02M will start turning up more often Im surprised there isn't a VR6FI club lol

http://www.bildon.com/catalog/DetailsList.cfm?ID=10.010.021&Nav=6&SubNav=66 thats the one, sounds good, i like seeing the 1/4 mile times improve after mods, shows they work lol
-
is goes under the engine.. Looks mint tho don't it
-
I was joking about the hammer lol,,, Try it hot and cold... might be easyer after a good run when exspanded or on a cold morning.. might make it easyer,,, Can't you double up a pair of spanners, or deep socket and braker bar.. failing that add heat Its coming out one way or another lol Some things that can take minutes ends up 3 hours, unscrew replace lol 5 minute job

lol strate to the point http://www.grantmotorsport.com/ think this place does them but there redoing there website so there not displayed.. Pritty sure i saw them on there for the VR6 a few months ago Would love a highly tuned N/A VR but due to the flow of there clyinder head its hard to get 250bhp Best sounding VR tho And with your 1/4 mile times as they are recon you will start getting very close to the charged VRs Is everythink else standard on it dave? Diff cams final drive ect?
