  1. Why do it ? There will be little to none more power, and you will eventually brake the flap/valve. Then try to get that piece used somewhre, or even worse try to buy a new one. The Schrick or VWMS VSR was never designed to get boost, and force boost thru the vacum valve is not a good idea. Sell the manifold, and use the money on something else. My opinion.
  2. In 2007 i had a Garrett T04S T3. 0,63 It was maxed out at 5500 rpm. Made full boost at 3200rpm and broke two gearboxes incl a SQS 02A. Its NOT what ypu want. In 2009 I got a GT35R T3 1.06 Max boost at 3700rpm and from there it goes on until it hits 7200 revlimiter hard. I still have that turbo and it operates from15-30 psi when it maxes out. Solid, reliable and perfect for a 15+psi engine. Forget 0.63 and 0.81 Get the 1.06 and be happy togheter with your gearbox that needs a LSD diff.
  3. The best standalone should be the one thats nearest where you live, and with people you trust...
  4. Fitted some stuff today. V-band oil catch tank, Fragola AN6 water lines for the GT35R and the new saturday candy package came from USA today
  5. There is a big thread about the NLS 02M shim kit on Vortex. Seems like alot of customers are happy with the result.
  6. If goal is around 400wheel hp, go 9:1 cr. If you will have room for more power in the future, go with 8,5:1 You will not feel any diffrent in power. Turbo choise if on budget would be journal bearing Precision 6266 T4 0.68 or even 0.81. Or maybe a Bullseye S362 T4. With a better budget it would be the same Precision, but ball bearing. Or 6262 or even the bigger 6466 Garrett GTX35R T4 0.82, Sofrware and injectors i would go UM, and be done with it. Bosch 044 pump and a beefy clutch that will hold the torque you will get!
  7. This is an old modification to make your 2.8 inlet as a 2.9. Its so little gain vs the hassle and job its not worth it in my opinion. You might gain a little on it and with cams and software adjustment it will help. And if you have a spare, you can always make one as a fun project, polish and paint it ready to mount. Just for fun
  8. Happy birthday last friday, and mist say : Noce looking Corrado VR6. Love how the stock rims still sitts very good.
  9. Problem solved. Bad vacum hose hidden under the TB.
  10. Im 35, got my first VR in 2000 and owned one ever since. I have a mk4 Golf V6 4Motion and a mk3 VR6 Turbo. Had both for many years.
  11. Schimmel 263s and Coolingmist stage 3 kit. Cleaning the Pro-Maf ready for spring time. Its gonna be awhile, cause we have -19C and snow this days...... But thats life New OEM oilpump Fitting Supersport Black Evolution coilovers on my daily Golf V6 4Motion. Really like the Supersport. Have it on my mk3 as well.
  12. It isn't the belt tensioner bearing? I've had that before.
  13. 24v flywheel, disc and pressure plate. 12v/02a clutch is 228mm and 24v/02M is 240mm. You will also need 24v starter ,termostat housing and cable shifter. And offcourse some other axels. Enjoy when its installed.
  14. Very nice project! Fingers crossed for your clutch. Good luck with the car. Love the turbo choice. UM Pro-Maf is not wrong either
  15. Yep, abs sensor rear right. Can be a easy to change or it can be a little more challenging. Use enough WD40/CRC
  16. Max 200whp. Raise the rev limiter to 7500 and try 1/3 mix with E85
  17. For me, the Pro-Maf has been very good. ATP have GTXbillett wheel for the 35R. Gave 10%more air...... 600 USD,- Next turbo if i could choose right now would have been a Precision 6466 T4 0.81
  18. AFR idle is 14.5 - 15.1 Average around 14.7 as it should be
  19. 30 psi on 98 octan pump gas. Above 30 psi the 35R is out of breath. I also got a Autometer fuel pressure gauge. Abit pricey, but its a cheap insurance. The Pro-Maf togheter with a adj fpr allows me to set the AFR where I want it. My AFR is set at around 11.7 - 12.1 full boost. AN6 flows plenty. AND the Integrated tank keeps the 044 quite. I used to have the 044 mounted alone next to the fuel filter, and it was crazy loud.
  20. I have a new oem VDO intank pump and a Integrated catchtank for Bosch 044. AN6 lines and Bosch motorsport fuelfilter. I have no clue how much all this will flow, but it works well to choke the t3 1.06 35R out of breath.
  21. A stock 02A should be able to hold a R32 engine. LSD recommended. 02M is so much better, both in strenght and precise butter silk shifting. UM have all the parts you need.
  22. A guy in Sweden did the following in2009 to his n/a 12V : Woessner 83.5mm 11:5 cr with Woessner rods. New bearings all over. Blue printed and ported head with Schrick big valves, Schrick 272 cams, Schrick springs and titanium retainers. Schrick VSR, Supersprint 6 branch with complete 2,75inch exhaust. All this controled by DTA Pro 80 standalone. It did 218whp on a Rototest...... I wasted a lot of momey myself from 2000-2005, before i went forced induction. A used supercharger kit isnt that expensive. Or even pieceing your own turbo kit....
