  1. Higher up on the subframe. Mount up engine/gearbox with the 02M mount. Get the engine lined up water straight. Fit the subframe mount perfect and make some welds. Remove engine/gearbox and weld mount to subframe. Then, in again with engine/gearbox and ceck that its all 100 % fit.
  2. Mistake I did was that the mk3 gearmount was welded a little to low. So both engine and gearbox was hanging a little low on the gearbox side. The 02M mount did not like that... And yes I did weld a extra strength flat steel on the 02M mount.
  3. Gearbox plan is clear: I got a V6 4Motion DRP box that im gonna use. Put the Peloquin diff in it, and take off the transfer box like I did on the broken 02M. Have that as a spare box. Then mount it to the car with DLI teknik 02M mk4 gearmount togheter with mk4 dogbone under the car. Some welding need to be done, but it should hold the power good. AND USE ALOT OF CAUTION so that I mount the engine/gearbox 100% in a straight line. Not like the "in a hurry" job I did last time. Cylindrical silver thing is a holder for stock FPR. But with AN6 connections.
  4. Found some pics from my first VR6 I got in 2000:) Did some work on it Sold the Golf in 2002 and got a stock Corrado 2.9 VR6. Did some work on that as well Sold the Corrado in 2004. Wanted a OBD2 Colour concept 12V VR6 for easy ECU tuning. My old ZR2 Charger. Got Z-Engineering chip and the OBD2 ran really good. Everything stock, exept chip and a 4bar fpr. Had this for over a year. Back in 2005/2006
  5. Thanx. DRP is short, same as the R32 box is. But I like it like this. Might get a diesel box if I find a cheap one. Looks like I need Unitedmotorsport external oilcooler tube. Then I can run both OEM oilcooler and the Mocal. http://unitedmotorsport.co.uk/products/vr6-external-oil-cooler-tube/
  6. I love the DRP gear ratio. Diesel will be to long and boring for me. I might try diesel setup in one of them, but then the Peloquin needs to be swaped over also. Cant drive without a LSD
  7. Got some parts in the garage, ready for more fun in 2012. V6 4Motion 02M DRP x2 Mocal 16 row oilcooler Bahnbrenner billett fuelrail AN6 David Lindblom makes the most outstanding 02M brackets. So it needed to be a gear bracket from him Some primer and some paint does make a diffrence Hopefully a more stabile vacum solution
  8. Stock engine, stock fuelpump LSD diffrensial, upgrade clutch Motormounts Unitedmotorsport fuel setup Max 10 psi with a t3 turbo and exhaust ar81 or bigger
  9. Have had a AEM Uego since 2008. Like it alot. Easy with no calibration. Around 1800 usd from Summit.
  10. I use a Garrett GT35R T3 ar/1.06 Full boost or 30 psi at 3800 rpm. Its a very nice turbo, with plenty off power and when not in boost, the car pulls better than stock. And all hell braks loose from 3000 and up. Doesnt matter what gear im in. If I was to choose again, it would have been a Precision 6765 T4 0.81 or something in that direction. 6262 T4 0.81 should be a very nice 12V Turbo. It all depends on how much power you want. Dont not get a smaller T3 housing than 0.82 I 4-5 years ago I used T3 0.63, and it maxed out at 5500 rpm.
  11. Big money is what you will pay when your clutch brakes down.
  12. Get a twindisc Clutchmasters FX850 and be done with it. At least if your turboing it, and aiming high. Supercharger doesnt have near the same torque as a turbo R32. Thats why some supercharger and low boost turbo R32s can use the stock clutch as long as it lasts. Clutchnet,Spec,Southbend, streetwerke and all the others are nothing to rely on if your going 400+whp. Ive been there, and 3 off my best mates been there also. Two off them blowing big holes in their 02M casings. Thats nice, right?
  13. Have Supersport Black Evolution coilovers laying around in the garage for my V6 4Motion. Good price, and they use KW dampers on it Im thinking off selling my 2001 Golf V6 4Motion and get a Fabia RS instead. Use 2 hours to work every day. V6 is to thirsty.
  14. Two AUE Bora V6 4Motion in Sweden that run mk4 R32 engines with stock AUE harness. It was all bolt on, exept the exhaust flap and coding the keys. One off them bought a mk4 R32 from UK, and drove it home to Sweden. Swapped both cars. Ridiculous pricing on cars in the UK. I dont see why everybody isnt driving around in 996 Turbos. Same price as a 2003 R32 in Norway AUE/R32 swap pictures.... http://www.garaget.org/mypage/gallery.php?user=146687&album=16592
  15. Modding the bracket is a solution. And use other mounting points, yes. Im gonna look at it.
  16. Yes, it has broken off the whole bit where the threads are. Been running 15 psi for a very long time now. No issues. Three days with 20 psi, and problems comes. Well, its gonna be alot of work, to change the whole casing.
  17. This is just perfect ;( Snapped right off, and it cant be welded.
  18. Bosch F3CS or F2CS. No gapping,just plugn/play.
  19. Crack in the turbo hose from the turbo. Any change in a little lean AFR ? Nooo... Put all togheter again... 15 year old VR6, never changed the radiator. Guess what was leaking water today
  20. GT series is ballbearing. Thats why it costs abit. Try anything that have journal bearing. Cheap Garrett T04S t3 0.82 maybe ?
  21. A quick picture after a 2 hour drive today. 26 psi of boost
