  1. If the knock is loud, you may have left summit loose, if its a wee bit quiet, you may have disturbed a dodgy bush. just have another look. Did you tighten the top of the strut?
  2. that'll be why i aint seen your motor. Your tucked away in the indy 500 for karts. I'm a hater of tea leafs, so you got no worries dude. Do you work at Dane?
  3. aye not far from the edgey bridge and the pub. Nice one. I will be poppin down there to av a look at your motor on the sly!!! See you around mate.
  4. No need to SHOUT dude. Could be a number of things, and theres been a few threads on this matter previously with tons of reasons. Good luck
  5. if not get it in the air and do it. Most likely a lwr arm bush, or the front eng mnt/ rear box mnt. good luck
  6. get your hands around the tyre and give it a right good shaking see if you can get some play
  7. The PS3 gets GT 5 HD, i'm sold.
  8. that wing gap is shocking, could take a leg off! People that do these cars have no attention to detail, if your gonna screw your car up that much, at least do it professionally.
  9. Sounds like a bush gone or a mount. does it disappear on cornering?
  10. sunny blacon. I've only seen two VR's around, a silver one and a black one. It feels quite an exclusive car here.
  11. if you look at the vid on you tube there's a lit still shot of what happened to the neck, for the open minded. 2min26 by the way.
  12. Surely if you just stick some squashy springs on the rear it would help putting the power down on a standing start. you cant go full throttle in first or second in a lot of high powered fwd cars. The VR is already quick off the mark. Methinks the high power would be much more beneficial on the second 1/8th mile if you get me.. If you want a car that blips M3's etc between traffic lights in town, then keep the power lower for drivability. Personally, i'm dreaming of munching M5's on motorways!!! Screw drivability, i want a car that does 50-160 in 10secs!!! (on a private road naturally)
  13. i'l do the job if your in the north west. I only suggest this as i'l do any foreigners for any one that wants jobs done without VAT and £80 p/h labour charges. Hope it doesn't sting too much. ps. i hope its o.k to say that!!! please dont ban me.
  14. open auto trader and take your pick, then hunt down a good one. Wish i had 10 k!!! i'd stick it all on the golf. you be able to get 400-500bhp for that kind of money. dreams dreams......
  15. i'd definately smack an old multi point socket on. Done it loads of times, eventually got round to getting some proper removers off snap on.good luck
  16. I heard he was killed, during filming.
  17. why would they break the fixings?? they would have to cut off and placcy weld the lugs off their old ones. Could it not be an enemy trying to hurt your wallet?? Either way, i'm sorry to hear about it, and i hope you get it sorted.
  18. Merry Christmas to every VR owner. My best christmas present?? Quiet roads!!! open her up!! All the best.
  19. In traffic the com reads 12-13 mpg, and i spend a lot of time in traffic so thats what i put my 220-240 down to. Sometimes i do more miles to get home (the long way round) just to get higher mpg. It kind of makes sense!!
  20. the book also says the red bit is 7.5 litres in total, so with a capacity of 45 litres, 35 notes would make sense i suppose.
  21. i run mine down to just above the red, and it costs me 33 quid to fill up, and i get about 240 mls per tank. I think it is a 55 litre tank so this may be down to a blocked breather pipe, but if the gauge reads full????? i would like some info on this also. thank you
