I saw my first R36 today. my local dub garage had an Estate (blue) parked up and I heard and saw it... Suprisingly quiet... Until you book it... But this led me to thinking...... When should an engine become a V8? 3.2 fine as a v6 but after 3.5 V8????? What do ya think???

Well wot they said......... The only piece of advice is lower it. Unless you are a fan of altitude sickness or Sea/motion sickness. Lower it. It will transform the car. You only need 20mm that then means you can still live with it daily and deal with speed humps etc etc etc etc.. Trust Us all on this... Even Jeremy Clarkson once said on top gear... lower it by 20mm and the car is spanking...

Why I ask you..... Do they not have anything better to do? I don't own a £110k worth of car..... Its just an OEM looking car with the tweeks added.... I take care to drive in a considerate manor up my street.... I smile and speak to people...... I even pay my dues.... Why do people have to walk down the road and take their issues out on a car that doesnt deserve it and people who cant afford to respray the whole car????? If I had money would I not have an R32/porsche/Lambo.... I do not like to say this but I really hope it shrivels up and falls off.... and also someone returns the favour! I

Tracer112, Your English is fine and better than my Lituanian May I suggest you post in the technical section and also a title like. "Low Power and performance on my VR6"..... as I think more people will help Ok so, The usual reasons for low power are bad fuel/air mixture and exhaust flow. Then bad spark/ignition. Is your car standard? (no modifications?) Is your fuel ok? It may be worth running a clean through the injectors to ensure you are getting enough fuel. Is the Lambda sensor on the Exhaust ok? Is the car running well. No missing or backfire at all?? One final thing... Is the accel

OK so there are lots of options here for you.... You can buy all singing and dancing fully adjustable items your chice (Coil overs) or just spring and shock kits. Historically people talk about VW and Golf linking Eibach springs and Koni shocks as the ideal mix. I cant prove that though - it is just what I have read and heard. I bought the Koni kit and dropped it 35mm. TBH no more as speed humps then start to become an issue in my part of the world. I am charged and it has no issues putting it down. No tramping or torque steer on hard acceleration and as they are adjustable you can set

Ok so one new windscreen fitted and all seems ok. It was actually really quite easy..... I use Adrian flux and it was done through Redstar as the insurance company so £70 excess on that. Process was nice and easy got to choose from RAC or Autoglass so went with Autoglass as I have heard others at issue with RAC. All booked over the phone, a man called and check the screen was correct after i enquired. Actually new his onions. Then screen was fitted at home the following day (to suit me) . A little spot of surface rust on the top of the screen above the driver. he filed it down and gunk

All police cars are tweeked. For example Vauxhall have an entire division for this. Suspension and brakes overhauled as they carry more weight daily and thus need to stop. All engines are tweeked. Some are just a remap others are cams the lot! Then of course they have extra wiring looms added for all that technology and those with weapons have a safe added. They do out-perform standard cars hands down. I mentioned Vaukhall but all other manufacturers have a special fit out division usually close to their HQ in the UK. Not just the UK. remeber those 911s on the Autobahn with extras...

if doing yourself get the little plastic tube that sits on the fron of the engine. this splits the water flow to the exidting cooler. It will break... unless you are really careful.

Guys N girls, I have aquired a crack in my windscreen. Before I get on to the old insurance company, I thought I would check... I have a recollection about there being a couple of different types and that it had to have black bits on it (I assume to cover the dash leading edge).... Any help or pointers would be appreciated Cheers

It's raining so we all can't be bothered.... There is the B&M and If I recall there is a kit made by either the Phirm or Stealth. I forget which. From posts on here every one seems very happy with the mod. I think it is more down to your own comfort zone. The Phirm/Stealth one is a modification so they fit it for I think the £250 mark but I could be way off there. Where as the B&M is a replacement fit it yourself kit. I'm sure the boys will perk up the nearer to the bank holiday and answer in detail...
