    Just to echo the comments from above. If you run and operate them within their design specs and maintain them correctly. They work well and are relaible. there are always people who have bad experiences with any items. If you are talking to companies then dont forget stealth and the Phirm. Always speak to 3 m8. As said do you want a very fast car or a vey very fast car? Do you want to build it in stages??? There are many people running both solutions with zero issues. So dont be afraid of the V Just so you know I have a VF9 and it is good quality and works.....

    usually the oil will start to break down around the 120 mark. so that is the fluid limit. But as the guys have said. It should sit down around the 90 mark. It is ok for it to pop up higher if you have a trackday or the likes but the temps of over 100 definately need investigating. If you are talking water temp then middle of the dial all day long...

    well just to add to what the guys have said really. If you have plans to take the next step (stage 3 etc) at some point then all of Lizards information is spot on. I would add dont go mad on the cams the 248 is known as the charger cam... remember you are retarding the engine to run a FI system The VAG clutch is great for the power a stage 2 pushes out.     As long as your engine is "healthy" it is well sorted for the 300 horsey mark. As long as you do the oil every 3000 and warm up and cool down and keep the temperatures under control. It is the car you wish they had built If you are worried then do the big things at the same time if they havent already been done. As always it is temperature that kills engines. If it has/and had good oil and water and has been looked after rather than redlined from cold then all is good for you. PMSL I do think I will have to abuse this as it obviously aimed at the boy racers however I will be targeting other groups.....     Sorry Timmy a little confused by your question. All Standard VR6 is a 12V lomp. The OBD level is something different.You will be a level 2 as long as the original angine is in it.. There are ways of checking see FAQs If you're after something different then please post again

    Not that easy to answer. Is it new or Used??? How many BHP are you looking to get to? If you splash the tenner and join up as a premium member you can access the FAQ sections on tuning which give you more information on the options available MAf/Maf less etc etc

    Unfortunatley these people do not have anything better to do. Now I am a grumpy old man however..... I am a nice guy with it rather than a screaming B_hatch. I to have one of these in my office. She has been rude on many occasions to many people. I now take delight in affecting her day when the occasion demands it. A colleage and I manages to park our company cars (so damage not an issue) so close she couldnt leave to go home and then went in to London with the keys in our Pockets knowing we would be back late.
