  1. Finally got my charge temps down to a nice temp of 40c so am chuffed with that ,all came down to a simple oversight but you live and learn!! now just need a bit more boost more water in the back of the charger should do it lol
  2. Its a fair bit of custom fabrication to get it in and its not without its faults. May look into a turbo conversion for next year or twin charge it with the eaton
  3. Its in bits again carnt help but tinker with it, trying to get charge temps down and checking a few things over. Also had to sed water injection pump back to be fixed because it froze in the bad weather thats guna cost me :@
  4. I would say an m62 would get you to the 230/40 bhp region but would need to do the calcs. From what i remember the m62 has a higher rev limit than m90 (14 000 rather than 12 000) so with a 7000 rpm limit you could run 2 turns of the charger to 1 of the crank pulley, m62 puts out 1 litre of air per rev. So you would have 4 litres of air per 2 rev so you have 1.2 litres spare for boost should be 5-6 psi
  5. Hi there, the m90 is the one to use as even that runs out of puff, but m112 is just real tricky and big i think to package nicely, but the boost would be nice. With the m90, torque is strong from 1500 rpm at 175 lb/ft up to 270 ish at 4000 rpm :-d
  6. Really bored of polishing now, fingers are numb bring on E38 and the beer and sun. C u all there
  7. Just wondering how many of you where going this year ? , my first chance to say hi face to face as a member
  8. it does sound great (well i like it) would have liked to make an extra 20 bhp at the crank to break the 300 mark but it gives something to work towards
  9. its near as damn it 280bhp but still fine tuning the charge cooler to get charge temps down plus my throttle body was playing up tps not working
  10. what boost are you running? it will be nice to see what it makes when it gets a proper run. Is that power at the wheels? what torque did you make?
  11. Well its mapped, its been great to drive it again its been nearly a year messing about making bits and finding what i needed. Now its the test of time, needs a few miles under its belt see if it all holds together
  12. Got her started the other day after rebuilding charger and the other bits and bobs ive changed, took a bit longer than i hoped, but it sounded healthy. booked in for mot soon only found out it was out on sunday! Then try and map it again abit more succesfully +o(
  13. has your mate got his eaton vr up and running yet? if so how did it work out for him what bhp etc
  14. Mine seems to be full of little gremlins at the mo but its booked in for the end of the month fingers crossed all the gremlins are banished lol. If you friend manages to get an m112 in fair play nothings impossible, but an m90 is tight and a m112 is 30 mm longer in the rotors and 70 ish mm longer in the nose , but if geared right will make lots of boost
