  1. Thanks Mackenzie...i think i'll stick to my guns and go for these! I am on a bit of a budget and it is the drop i have wanted so maybe its an offer too good to pass up! U in West London area right? Do you know any deacent places that fit them? I know of Yaash motors near Ace Cafe on the N.Circular but any other recommendations? Many Thanks
  2. Hello guys, i've tried searching for my answer but to no avail. Ive reacently bought a set of white Lockwood dials but just wondered if you guys have a step-by-step guide for a D.I.Y fitting job? Cant be too hard surely but just dont want to crack the plastic lens cover like i have done in the past in certain Fords which come to mind! :^) I know it'd be a simple job of hooking them over the existing needles but how many screws to undo? I havent received the dials themselves so maybe i'll get a fitting kit with them hence wasting your time lol Any advice/help is much appriciated!
  3. Hey guys... I am after a 60/40 drop and have come across this set but what do you think?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130253104497&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=003 To be honest i am on a bit of a budget but these are along the lines of what i am looking for but just want somefeedback? Many Thanks Mark
  4. Ok guys...UPDATE! Bought exactly what i was looking for off good ol' ebay for £51. As of this morning i have gone through some previous postings regarding cleaning an induction kit and ended up buying a PiperX cleaning kit as they are foam based as well. The Ram Air Pro Ram is now cleaned, freshened up and sitting in the engine bay looking fantastic! Ive just returned from a 'round the block' drive to make sure all was well and boy does it sound phat!! due to countless speed bumps in my area (if only i lived out in the sticks) i couldnt get above 4K RPM but what a difference! Im glad i stuc
  5. Hello there...this has been discussed before but i want to confirm before i start ringing around breakers that am i right in saying that the only 'new style' gear knob and gaitor that'll fit without too much hassle/modding is that of 2000 and onwards Polo? That correct? I want to freshen up my interior so any info would be a help! Thanks Mark (such as this...http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?235904)
  6. Ok no probs Pete, i'll sort it out. Its ok now anyways, my insurer doesnt need a CAT 1 certificate so can now finally get on with the modding!
  7. Ok cheers guys, ive just had the ABS rings on the rear put on, the handbrake light is now off but the ABS light still remains on. The diagnostics was done and yep you guys were right, issues with the sensors but am not gonna get them done....couldnt be f**ked for something minor! How easy is it to remove the ABS fuse?! Am gonna take the VR6 down to Ace Cafe later and if the moan/whine is gone il be happy
  8. I know it is quite pricey, nearly double a K&N or Pipercross, BUT my heart is set on it, its looks and its size i think justify the money! lol Keep up the good work on this VR6 Owners Club, v good info and helpful! Cheers guys
  9. Cheers Jon, is it costly though to get a diagnostic? Im gonna try and get the necassary things done for free at the garage that done the change as it didnt appear before so theyve balls'd up somehwere! It seems fine but seeing them two lights is annoying already after just getting it on the road!
  10. Ah ok, i think itd be best for me to go back to the garage that done the change anyways but thought there might be a easy-fix way round it. Do you know approx how much a new set of ABS rings would set me back?
  11. Hey guys... As of Saturday i have had my front and rear: brake discs, pads and bearing changed on my VR but since then the ABS light stays constantly illuminated and the hazard brake warning lamp remains on the dash as if the handbrake is on although i have checked and there are no brake lights on. The ABS started to appear on Friday before the change but now it remains constantly on. Also, yesterday in 1st at around 2k revs before changing a moan/whine could be heard as if it was the pump (?) was struggling but on todays drive i could not hear it. As you can tell im not too clued up on the AB

  14. Hello guys and gals! I need your help/suggestions...I have an old Logic/Conlog alarm system installed which immobilises, arms and has automatic closure on windows and sunroof BUT i do not have the certificate for insurnace purposes. I only have the original manual which states it is a CAT 1 system. Can you suggest a place thatll write me a certificate? I dont want to spend £200 on a Toad or Clifford system when this one is working perfectly, although it being very old. Any contact numbers or advice would be a big help! Thanks Mark
