  3. if you like all those cars (F1 excepted..) get your butt to the LeMans 24hour Classic... Same access but 24 hours of racing....
  4. There are pleanty of people with higher milage than that on here. The car is not a highly stressed car so big miles are no problems.. The main thing is oil changes and chains.. as long as they're done as and when needed then the car should keep going... 34mpg on a run is very good... some people never see that... That said... If you want to get a newer/lower milage car then hey.. why not find one off here or one all kitted out with all the options ... Depends what your plan is overall.
  5. really need to make this one time... Hey Helen.. Gimmie a kick as well .. I really good at being bad with dates...
  6. as with all things do it as soon as you can... As you can appreciate these are the things that keep you in contact with the road. So always worth doing ASAP. As said repairs should be no problems as long as they're in the centre section as described by spindat...
  7. with upgrading wheel size it is always worth upgrading suspension as well.. Then you need to look at the arches afterwards.... subject tot he wheels you put on of course. Budget and your ride hight dictate wheather you go coilovers or just upgraded springs and shocks. Both options work well. you get a lot more flexability with the coilover options.. If you do a search on here there are discussions on which are best and as you are a premium member there is also a how to fit guide as well..
  8. Fooooooooooook me... did you see the back of the car drop down the embankment as he braked in that last run in... And he clipped the wall at the start... Skilzzz man... Skilzzzzzzz

  10. I am happily enjoying a day off work and litterally have nothing better I want to do today... So after the shopping for beer was done I thought I would come on here and start a thread which I hope will continue through the years and we may be able to even toast the numpty of the week whilst we are out with mates... I will start... Today I was on my way back from the supermarket and a person in their mk4 (with stickers) takes the chance to pass me as a set of lights change colour, with me stationary and the head of the line... No problems there... I do this kinda thing all the time.. It wasnt c
  11. I think most of the stuff has been covered really... It's an old car meant to chill on the autobahns with no effort 'til the cows come home.. My type-R is faster of the mark but it has a close ratio box and I have to go through 3or4 gears whilst I am just doing the one change in the VR6.. That said... (okay I'm not standard)... but my VR6 was always better one rolling - even before the mods.. Right gear at the right speed and it will hold its' own everyday of the week.. and the chances are you only paid £1500 for the fun vs a lot more for others... In summary... I just like mine - the sound
  12. I mised this thread in March... LO and cant do tonight...
  13. I thought the noise in the thread was similar to your post... Tony is a mobile chap so not sure how far he travels or will meet you?? If doing the chains do the clutch at the same time as you have all those bits apart. There is a set of chains on sale here at the moment so have a look and go from there... Tony tends to charge on the £500-£700 rates iifc depending on how far he has to travel and parts and tea and bisuits etc etc
  14. If you need a Snap on Let me know my mate has a dealership...
  15. As you're a premium dude please see this .... http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?107739 If you dont want to do it yourself then Tony does most on here and at VR6OC rates... Hope it helps...
