  1. So if its a saloon then it's only A4, Passat or Jetta. If larger then an A6. Otherwise it will need to be a Q5 - I dont recommend the touran (older models - to much of a van and the blind spot on the rear quarter is a shocker.. If you wanna step outside the box my sis has one of those ford fusion things and swears by it. - I have seen one lowered all black and rear tints and alloys and it looked the bolloxs ... Smax is a good drive.. but massive TBH mate all saloons you will struggle with the opening on the boot not pram friendly at all! So either a big hatchback or you will need to go the

Cheers folks, Thanks for the comments, I ho[pe to be going to Billing as always even if it is just for the day... and tax is scary (£425) but I am managing 30+mpg on my motorway runs... 28.9 at motorway speeds and 32.4 at 70mph both just sat on crusie to Manchester via toll road with one stop. Very happy with that I am... I had to trade all cars in so I am now a one car man...

Highlights 58 plate so has the face lift stuff... with full leather, crusie and ipod in the arm on 14000 last week but not now!!!!!

  6. So as you may know the car is up for sale.... I check it on Friday and there is a broken Window and I have someone coming over on Sunday so one quick and not cheap fix later.. The chap shows up and we go for a test drive then the steering ring is grinding and as we pull off the handbrake light stays on... FFS! So as a two part question. Does your car know what you're up to??? Could some one let me know what the parts are for the the copper ring on the back of the steering wheel please?? Thanks

  8. Folks, Other than the obviosu comments... who makes awd cars and do we have any experience of them, Also do we know what engines/transmission limitations are with them?? So Obvious ones... and looking for a family sized hatback with all the pluses and still good mpg.. VW Golf/Passat (on the edge size wise) Audi A3/A4 (others are to big really) Saab XWD 9-3 2.0t Alfa 159 Q4 So lets have 'em... Cheers

  10. Okay, I had a spare set of headlights for my car but they have gone walkies. Does anyone local to me have a set of mk3 headlights I can place on my back seat whilst it goes for its MOT on Saturday ( 10am in Harrow). It depends who does my car at my local garage you see. I will collect (Friday afternoon???) and return as soon as the test is over (Saturday Afternoon). Yours Hopefully R

I just dont waste my time with them... why do 70 in a 30 and loose your licence just to prove it... or kill another road user... let 'em go and then when you join a motorway (or the likes) just crusie up on them... you can see his little puffs of smoke then they know as you overtake the real target - the porker in front of them.... ... you gotta do it with a bit of class and style.........and all before you hit 70mph.. then just pull back in... You always get them yung'uns looking like what the hell is that... 'tiz the only way... and nice and safe to..

  18. You beat me to this.. What calibrated instrument did he have to demonstrate the noise meter was at least a metre away etc etc etc from memory most noise polotion levels have a specific distance(s) applied to it and if they are doing the test then their metre must be a calibrated metre (distance) if you see what I mean.. Worth checking what the SVA tests require.
  19. only piece of advice I would give is make sure the picture alows you click in to the forum is I didnt see a forum link... Remember we are all lazy by nature so whilst the page is good it doesnt tell me what the site is and does... Hope it helps..
