  1. No egg sucking meant here... if you have just fitted them did you wipe the oil off the discs before fitting the pads? Did you take it easy on the pads to allow them to bed in?? I ask as you may have contaminated pads or glazed them if you didnt give'em a chance to bed in..
  2. would like to go but busy then mates getting married...
  3. GSF are always good with your premium members discounts.. but check that section as there are others as well.. PS not sure what Graggsy has still - may be worth a check as he had a good set up and is/has broken his old car..
  4. Brembo discs are always good and as for pads I find Pagid fast road work & last well without to much dust. my 2p - unless you are doing something a bit more like racing vented should be fine with fast road pads..
  5. Cheers thats what I thought... I'm not standard as got oil cooler on so has a piece of pipe on from the crack pipe to this thing on the front of the engine... I recall there are two temperature 'Stats. Anyone know the temp ratings?? Cheers
  6. Right this weekend I was a good boy and did some servicing bits and whilst I was under there i noticed some coolant leaking from the thing at the end of my crack pipe.. what is it?? Just for clarity... on the right hand side as I stand and look int the engine bay (so thats the passanger side ) you have the crack pipe thast then has a short flex pipe that connects into a pice which is held on by two 5mm shrouded allen bolts. I seem to have a leak on the bottom side where it connects to the engine... Am I correct in assuming this is the thermostat? Cheers
  7. I can't use it but get better mpg since the charger was fitted

  9. I do and have done a LOT of driving over the years, through my job. There are loadsa great roads still left in the UK to have a go at.. Although st Bernard pass or what ever it is called that those chaps on R32OC did was very impressive... Right UK wise it is really easy to find routes.. I have driven many roads which are not routes as such you just stay off the main Motorways and A roads... (SATNAV has this option) The main regions these roads exist are crossing mountains and moorlands.. There are some belting roads in the North Yorkshire moors around goathland and the likes.. Similar as sa

  12. Morning Folks, I thought I would pop a thread up on the new front page bit.. I quite like it... I like that you can see the detail of the thread (active, how many posts etc etc). However, would like to offer a suggestion to maybe make it a smidge easier to view... It is very busy and it takes time to click on the thread part rather than the posters (or is that Postee???? ) name. Maybe you could offer the thread in a different colour or add a space or perhaps make the divide between the line -a line and a half rather than just next line down... (if you see what I mean) Hope it helps a little
  13. LOL... Pop on and suggest it in the thread running about what to do next year at the meet.... LOL

  18. buy it.. put it in the loft until you get all the parts for the charger...
  19. get a good set of pipes on it and it sounds like the old quattro... worth it for that... LOL
  20. generally it is situated there as it's the best place without any specialist works...... The issue being that the MAF is just before it so really the only option is to route it straight off the charger... and thus you see the issue.. not just the filter to move... if you can relocate the catch can you may be able to engineer it in to the space but... that will mean another flat air filter or the likes... and you are not likely to get heat guards in place... I would need to think about this a bit more but here is a thought... Maf off the charger and run a pipe around the back of the engine b
  21. on my to do list... as me nearer the time..
  22. bit left field is the expansion tank lid blue??? Working??
  23. One is not better than the other... Horses for corses... What are you trying to do and what is your budget.. You can plug and play a charger system where as you may need to do more work and BHP dependant you will need a higher bank balance.. But you can achieve similar numbers via both systems. it is all about drivability and what you are doing it for... balls out drag?/track days?street ride? Do a search on here and you will find threads about them how to install them and who does what as a manufacturer etc..
  24. Not wishing to teach you to suck eggs...Have you done the basics here? What thermostat are you running and does it work? Have you flushed the system (no blockages)and are you sure both water pumps are working correctly - if you're missing vanes it wont be efficient? Are your radiatires free and clear? Air passing over the vanes is the key here? What temperature plate are you running in the oil/exchange interface to the engine/crack pipes? Are you using the correct oil and mix of coolant fluids? Have you changed the filters and oil regulalrly.. New oil is better than old.. extreme but race c
