    Check the premium discounts section. If I recall then there are discounts to be had from some of the better supply companies for products As Said... simples... Spray engine - brush areas clean (not to harsh a brush) - wash off. The only problem is once it's clean of crap you will then want to polish and paint stuff... LOL it will become adictive...

    the only thing I will say is try and keep over 115bhp as they tend to be a little sluggish below that. The best car you can buy that will run for ever is........................... the Skoda.... Remeber Diesels tend to be good for much higer milage by their nature. So dont run form higer milers as long as all belts/chains/history are up to scratch... It is the previous versions of the VAG car and has all the issues fixed. so you know it can be fixed and insured for virtually nothing... The only thing is to get over the badge... Outside of that...     tappets present always pinking usually occours under acceleration/load. (Obviously the tone changes on theengine tappets as you increase revs) I did a quick search on you tube.... which of these foes it sound like???

    I used to get the best deal the adrian flux (stage 2 charged) .... premium members get 15% discount so worth the £15 joining fee (there are a few companies with discounts ... ) Didn't make much difference to mine once I fitted and declaired all mods... tbh... As said above... look after it dont thrash from cold and cool down, they'll be good as gold... I read about less issues on here with chargers than turbos but as with all things read the thereads and learn form our issues/mistakes...

    Fuel yes mate as you have upgraded it needs that - only full fat fuel from now on Pop one plug out at a time clean re-gap it then hold it (with pliers) against the block and have a mate turn over quiclkly.. looking for a good blue spark on each.. or swap with a mate and see if there is any difference Lambda is usually a code so just check it.. as you're looking/focussed alswhere easy to miss a new code Hope it helps...

    MJ no haters here mate...we may disagree but never hate... It's great that everyone has an opinion and can openly share .... I do agree that VR6 covers us all and that is the reason we have all the versions.. In fact I must admit a fondness to a certain booted version back in the day (original passat for those - I love the side on boot line on it.. LOL) ... There is some credance to a version award but that must depend on who turns up - does it not??? I would win the mk5 just because I was there. So maybe a cross over or two is applicable for the interim whilst numbers build in other area

    one (or two) check(s) on the pinking (& to some extent lumpy idle)... you are running on super unleaded? Is/are your coilpack, plugs (worth a clean anyway) and Lambda all good..???? What do you have in your charger catch can???? Is it full... Just for idiots guide here as we wanna be sure mate.... Air filter MAF Charger Throttle body Sorry to say again.. but did you check each connection is spot on alighnment fitted and clamped correctly for the pipe run...     I think the format of the weekend was fine... I.e one day and camping either side... I dont get many passes LOL... and everyone seemed to have a great time as always There was some discussion on the Show & Shine ... No-one wants extra categorys but understanding what each is... For example I would not have had the Corrado as a variant as it has a VR6 badge origionally.. A Mk2 with the VRlump/mk4 etc is a variant...???     put your headlights on and see if they dim when you start and/or also a meter across the battery. Just 'cos you charged it doesnt mean it's okay.. If lights go out battery foobared so try jumping it to be sure then explore the starter issue...
