    i know that booting ur car when cold can do damage! all i ment was that i put my foot down in second gear to see if there was any smoke? i have also noticed 2nite when i got to the bottom of a hill and then pulled away that there was a puff of smoke! so maybe it is the valve stem seals?

    i just left work and booted it from cold and sure enough a little puff of blue smoke?? i will take plugs out and have a look later.. people say it could be valve stem seals but all the cars ive had with this in the past would smoke like a trooper on tick over and mine doesnt, just the odd puff when driving?

    doesnt use alot. top it up every few weeks maybe? could it be the wrong kind of oil since its quite high miler?

    hi all! i have noticed that recently there is a small puff of blue smoke out the back of my car, sometimes it is when i stop, and others when i change gear? it doesnt do it when i cane the sh*t out of it? also the back of the car has small specks of black soot up the bumper and tailgate, like its over fueling? the exhaust is always very black. the car has 130k on the clock, and has vauxhall 10/40 semi oil in it. has any one got any ideas. (i)

    mines been on since ive had the car!! and ive had a look and the pads have worn below the sensor wire!! time for a new set of pads ££!!!!

    if it is ur matrix gone u are better off joining the two pipes up that go to the matrix in the engine bay. this way it wont leak into the car again!!! and yes i think it is a bitch of a job. think dash out etc. i have a receipt when i bought my car for this job £416 all in!!!! anyway i hope it isnt ur matrix. good luck.

    mines a K reg and mine were mint! but my mates had rusty holes on both rear arches !!

    it doesnt have a belt? it has a chain! most people change it when it starts rattling as there isnt a set time???

    my mates vr6 does this as well, u can here it in the car, but not out of the car?? it seems to be coming from drivers side dash?

    when u have pulled pump out of block, clean all surfaces and check rubber seal for damage. then i ran a bead of instant gasket around the seal, it shouldnt leak then! then put it all back together, job done!!

    hi im buying a new deep chin spoiler coz mine is fu*ked. im not going to vw coz they are to much money! which would be best GSF or GPC??? i know they do them on e-gay aswell??? ?! thanks

    ok mate, im painting my car soon. and im wanting to smooth my bumpers. how did u do urs??? i thought about plastic welding the lines up, and then fillering them?? any help would be appreciated.......

    i had this trouble!!! hit the handle towards the door(hard) but not so hard that u dent the door in. it should then open? have u bent the rod? if so bend it slightly towards the skin...and it should sort this problem out. see my old posts on polo rear door handles..

    i paid £8.50 inc vat for one(non aircon)from gsf but i do get discount. if u have aircon it will be the more expensive one! easy to fit aswell..

    just go to a scrappy, u would get a pair for a tenner. they are held in by one screw and should just slide out, u could have them painted and fitted in a hr.(with some rocket in the clear coat)!!!

    i fitted polo handles recently and one did get stuck!!! mines a k plate, i bent rod behind the handle slightly and it was ok then....
