  1. Does anyone have any refs for the numbers shown on this diagram? i.e whats at the other end of each of the plugs/cables
  2. Hi, I've been doing some work this week with a new loom for my golf and I I have a feeling the plugs you have shown are all connected with the aircon, I noticed you have quite a thick red/black power cable leading to the yellow plug, I noticed this was thicker on my loom for climate control, is that a possibility? You mention you found out what the other plugs are for actually, what is the green single pole plug for as mine is currently dangling?
  3. Nice one Geth I think thats pretty much the conclusion I've come to now with you and craggs both confirming the vlave not being present on either of your climate equipped cars. Hopefully issues resolved now I just hope theres no more to come! Cheers guys!
  4. Cheers for that mate you've made my day! Just got the bay loom installed this afternoon so happy Ive not got to take it out to add something!! Can I ask you to send me a pic from a similar position as the one mine is taken from so I can see just how the vac line connects to the heater matrix flange, I imagine yours still has the green 'T-piece' just after the blue non-return valve and from the T piece a length of vac line just goes straight into the heater matrix flange (The white nipple). This all suggests that when using the regular heater box setup some of the settings require vacuum and so
  5. Cheers mate that would be well appreciated. I think I'm going to have to try and retro fit the plug for the recirc valve into the new loom
  6. Perfect thats what I wanted to hear, well half of it anyway. I think the smbient air sensor on the ecu gets done away with in favour of the sensor on the dash board (when using climate system) But if what your saying about the recirc valve is right then that doesnt add up. The loom Im adding in place of my original loom came from a car with climate control, and consequently, A/C. Also I know when I installed the climate heater unit I plugged a vac line onto the little white nipple so was expecting to have to use it, but with the absense of the plug for the valve it looks like that isn't needed
  7. Hi guys, don't post much in here but Im hoping someone can shed some light on an issue Ive run into. Im fitting a replacement wiring loom into my bay and I've noticed that there are two plugs missing from it (compared to the loom I've taken out). 1st missing plug fits onto a sensor which is mounted ontop of the ECU Part No. 1H0959625 as far as I can tell this is an ambient air sensor, surely this should be present on ALL wiring looms, any ideas why it would be missing on the replacement I have? 2nd mising plug actually attaches onto the vaccum solenoid just above the ABS unit I don't know wha
  8. Ah nice one mate, yeah they are some schimmel 263 cams, I thought that they'd fit physically, I just wanted to check as they are coming out of a corrado engine. Cheers.
  9. Hi guys, I'm just wondering whether aftermarket cams for a 2.9 corrado engine will fit the 2.8 golf engine. Cheers.
  10. Yeah... He aint gonna like that! Is it fair to say then there are no power gains to be had from the schrick? Sorry if this sounds like a really ignorant question but I always thought they added power
  11. Yo guys, A friend of mine has just had a schrick fitted to his VR (2.8) We thought we'd have a little race to see any difference it made, and err... mine won! Rightfully unimpressed there must be something up with the manifold system right? Really just looking for any problems anyone else may have experienced, to be honest, it seemed like he was getting the jump on me through the first half of the rev range but then come 4k I started pulling away, this lead us to think maybe the flap isn't switching over? Having looked at the mechanism the lever seems to be moving freely, any ideas would be mu
  12. Yo ben, we just used citroen berlingo front hoses when we did Dans, they aint braided but they'll get your stoppers on and working, and like the budgie too, cheap cheap.
