    my vr is losing over 30bhp through thru the transmission and thats only front wheeldrive. you can double that for 4wd. i guess "almost" is roughly 80bhp. he never said exactly.

    i used to work with some1 who had a mitsubishi evo6 and reckoned the evo lost almost 100bhp through the 4wd!

    the whole mk3 golf range (and possibly more) share the same coolant bottle so theres no shortage of them.

    true. get a second hand 1 from a breaker, its not worth buggering around with.

    i LOVE the sound of the VR!!!!! how tall are his gears?! he only changed once!

    50/50 is a good mixture. the antifreeze acts as a corrosion preventitive which is a must on an aluminium head such as the VR's. i ve always drained mine from the bottom hose on the radiator. you could try some silicone on the leak but once plastic is cracked thats it really, could do with being replaced.

    the ram air sounds awesome! some feel its too loud tho. each to their own. my engine isnt too keen on it, specially in traffic. when your driving along is not so bad as the air is circulating a bit better. i taken it off, my VR runs better with the standard airbox on.

    i had a saab 900 T16 and i raced an A3 1.8T in that and we were even i couldnt beat him and he couldnt beat me, neck to neck! but the VR is quicker than my saab was. that saab was 175bhp, turbo charged as well but it was a heavy car.

    i was under the impression thats only for obd2 engine. but thats what i need some1 to confirm.

    a 205 1.9 GTi. that was really tidy and quick, for what it was. it was black and that turned heads, more than the VR does. guess thats not so much of bad thing.

    thats awesome, sounds unbelievable. should do for 1000bhp!! that speed is in kph but its still damn impressive. is that thats using the W16 engine?

    do you mean the nut that secures the trminal onto the battery? its a 10mm. you can get them from anywhere, ironmonger or scrapy as suggested, wilco do them as well.
