  1. my wheels are the same, but i ve also noticed that the offside wheel is physicaly further into the wheel arch than the nearside!? but no signs of accident damage. the rear left hand mount on my engine was knackered so replaced that. havent noticed any difference but the car was smooth before any way.
  2. bad really, i should be studying for work but instead im chasing insurance quotes. its good fun tho.
  3. bad really, i should be studying for work but instead im chasing insurance quotes. Doh!
  4. i did a rolling road day with my vr and there was a type r civic on the rollers too. it was making 200bhp, it was impressive. we compared figures, the torque figure on my graph starts at 142lbs/ft his max torque didnt even reach that!! goes to show that they depend almost totally on revs. im a jap car fun as well. i friend of mine has an s2000 and that thing is bolistic but again you really need to use the gears to get the power and speed. buy a turbo charged jap car and you got the best of both worlds.
  5. as above. i was getting water in mine around the drivers side checked the sunroof drains and the drivers side 1 was blocked cleaned it out it hasnt leaked a drop since!
  6. i ve seen this person sell one for the coil pack version. i checked his feedback from the person who bought it and they said it worked!! his feedback score is 100%, i personally would go fo it.
  7. all the storm badges are where they should be i remember looking. i better go back and double check the colour tho, think i may be going colour blind :@
  8. im 22 with 5 years ncb and bell just quoted me
  9. amen to that!!!! as much fun as his corrado is it really makes you appreciate the vr6's fantastic sound and smooth, effortless power
  10. if only they would bring back execution, people would behave a little better then. what i ve noticed about wet roads is that rather than extend the distance between 2 cars, like you should in wet conditions, drivers seem to pull up even closer to your rear bumper!!! whats with that?!
  11. thats something that will need looking into then. 20JahreGTI, i thought that would be the case. it is a bit messy in there. do the the angel eye lights have the 4 spade terminels that the plug should clip onto, like the standard lights have?
  12. got ya, i know the 1. never known it to be refered to as a serpentine belt. every days a school day.
  13. how does the wiring plug into vr6's head lights? mine doesnt have 1 large plug that plugs onto the back of the head light instead it has 4 individual wires that go in the back. i cant imagine that is a vw thing. reason i ask is i want to get a pair of angel eyes but dont want to risk them not fitting because the wiring has been played about with. any help appreciated.
  14. a friend of mine has just bought a G reg 16valve rado, its the 1.8 engine so needless to say it aint rapid but its still alot of fun to blast around in! for country lanes its almost unbeatable, handling really impressed me. never driven a vr6 but would jump at the chance! i wonder if the 4 cylinder 1s would handle slightly better being lighter but again who cares its barrels of fun!!
  15. a garage near me has a corrado vr6 storm with all the head off. the story goes that the owner drove thru alot of water and it managed to get into the engine and the engine hydrauliced!! this storm looks real sorry for itself but it could look awesome, all it needs is a good wash and polish, and i know the storms are quite rare. chap said he cant find a 2.9 engine any where so im quite tempted to offer him some money and try to get the engine up and running. apparently one of the pistons is shot although it does run. it was making just over 200bhp before it broke!! i dont know any of the detail
  16. the gearbox on mine was all oily and when i took the engine out and removed the gearbox i found the crankshaft seal was leaking. the sumps can leak as i think they are only sealed with silicone, dont think theres an actual gasket. so you could try dropping the sump and resealing it all.
  17. couldnt agree more!!!!!!!! !lol ditch the vts, a vr with a million miles on the clock is better than a citroen with 1 mile on the clock.
  18. where is yours leaking? mine has slight leak from the rocker cover gasket, nothing major, but i ve just replaced it. it still leaks but its not as bad.
  19. glad its all ok. one of my followers took ages to get up to pressure, it didnt stop tapping untill it was really warm, 10-15 mins! now its had use its fine.
