    Got back from the ring last night - met up with Aswad & Jake over there, did a couple of laps with Aswad which were pretty good! !lol My car handles so much better round there now since I've had the poly bushes and the strut brace fitted but I think I need to change my coilovers for some dampening adjustable ones. Left for the ferry at 5.30am on Friday but was down The Phirm til about 10.30pm the night before swapping some discs & changing the oil so a massive thanks to Tim for really helping me out with that, without Tim's help the weekend wouldnt have been as much fun.     The clio used to be orange but the owner changed it to black as when it was orange people would refuse to race him as they knew it was going to beat them - i suppose he'll be changing it again soon then! ;0)

    Yeah people go from far and wide! Im going down there tonight to have my front brakes done - Tims a good bloke, really helpful and will go out of his way to make sure your cars as you want it

    CV Joint? Best get it up on the ramps and have a look underneath before you do the wheel bearing etc

    Has anyone camped at the ring before? Been there a few times before but usually stay in hotels but Im heading down there on Friday for the weekend with Jake & Cadguy etc but I booked my ferry after most people & all the guest houses are fully booked so me and a few mates are gonna be camping now and temps are pretty close to freezing at the mo! Just wanted to know if you can just turn up and camp or do you need to make a reservation at the campsite before you go etc? The weekend as a whole should be 1 hell of an experience!

    I have an FK grill and my VR6 badge doesnt fit it. My badge wasnt a highline badge (its the better one) ha ha

    Theres a guy on here call Zonda I think who has done it on his Vento VR6 & it works well apparently! If you did a search on it you'd probably find some of the info he posted about it

    Whilst you have the box off you might want to think about changing the chains and the clutch if either are going to need to be done in the near future as the box has to come off to both of those - save some money on labour etc

    Ah ok if its just a subtle one then Im sure it'll look cool but I've seen a Mk4 thats on ED38 that everyones caneing which has put me off flips and flakes for life! The car was at Santa Pod on Sunday

    I reckon its for the oxygen sensor! I could be wrong though but its sounds like it. You do need one otherwise the car will run lean etc and you dont want but post a pic and we'll solve this one easy I reckon

    I personally dont think that any kind of paint that has a flake/flip in it will suit a rally - rallys are hardcore motorsport derived cars & to me that kind of paint just doesnt go with it but its not my car

    Only sensor Im aware of that should be on the exhaust is the oxygen sensor but that sits on the cat.

    Pulsars are the nuts! Mate of mine had one tuned to about 280bhp and there wasnt much that could stick with it but they run out of steam at around 145mph due to the gearing - brutal cars!

    Didnt look like there was a hose near the leak - Im taking it into my local garage on sat and I'm gonna check it out whilst its on the ramps - i did see some sort of small thermostat looking thing near where the leak was so it could be that which has a small leak - its not losing much water at the mo just annoying!
