  1. and a few more... Black sand beach Literally the middle of no-where Interesting roads... More coastline That is in KPH not MPH. The car we bought, yes I know its a Mazda and I would of preferred a dub but jap cars are so cheap it was silly not to get one on the budget we were on. We did ten and a half thousand kilometres in about four months, only needed an oil change and a hole in the exhaust fixing. To boot we sold it for fifty dollars less than we paid for it which is/was about twenty quid, bonus.
  2. O.k... here goes with some of the pics, these are all the south of the north island and the south island of New Zealand. In no order what so ever... Views of Milford sound Views of Milford sound Random lake Supposedly the steepest street in the world in Dunedin. Yes it really is that far away... View from the cable car in Queenstown "Metal" [gravel to us] road looking down at lake Wanaka Lake Wanaka [i think..] Random lake Franz Josef glacier Yet another deserted beach Yes there are alot of sheep in NZ. View of coastline... Large mountain Random waterfall Man fishing! More c
  3. Thanks all. :-d Working through the photo's at the moment [we took over a thousand] but will post some up when I've sorted them out a little. Hairyarse- was that you I heard flying through the village of Maxey the other day with a green VR on your tail, if it was- sounding very sweet indeedy. (y)
  4. As the title says really I'm back from beyond! :-d Spent the last seven months or so travelling round New Zealand, Australia and Thailand with the missus so thought I'd say hello as i'm finally back and online. Not put my VR back on the road yet but I am working on it, but with a definite lack of job and no cash that may take a little bit of time. ;( [would be pleased to get it started at the moment...grrrr] Anyway its good to be back [well kinda].
  5. Jus settling down to watch the GP... come on Lewis. Hopefully see you all soon.
  6. Yep, I'll be there and staggering home after no doubt. Good friendly pub and cheap beer!
  7. Good to see you all again. Will sort the post code and stuff for the pub no worries Donna.
  8. Yep, I'm planning on being there, if any of you guys with vag-com are coming can you bring it with you as my car seems to have a cold or something? *-)
  9. Cool. Be good to catch up with you all count me in.
  10. Thanks to everyone for making me and the missus feel so welcome- great day had by all.
  11. I'm in. Thanks for sorting it out Gav.
  12. Always thought that you were meant to keep the outer diameter as close as possible to the original? *-) There used to be a tyre size calculator link somewhere. Working on that i ran 205/35/17's, which admittedly i found a lousy ride [imo] even though they did look good.
  13. Right spoken to a mechanic type mate who can't do it but reckons its easier and cheaper just to replace the whole wishbone? After some ringing round, local stealers lived up to their name and Gsf had the better deal and the only one in stock locally- just need someone to do it sharpish as its getting really wooly and vibrating more.
  14. Ok. Jacked the front of the car up as high as i dare and looks like there's some play in the front wishbone rear bush so it does look like that is the issue. Take it bushes need to be replaced as a pair? How much of the front suspension needs to be taken apart to get at it? *-)
  15. You don't need that! Like said get the cops involved, surely thats driving away from the scene or something?? Isn't there any damage to his car you can point them towards?
