  2. Lot of people recommend the Jom 2 slat grill, as the bottom part is still metal as per the OE one.
  3. You might aswell change the clutch while your at it as you will be taking the gearbox out. 021 198 141 AX
  4. Right got the strip off last night, should the strip be completely flat. Or is it meant to lift up slightly at the ends. Got the part numbers off ETKA can some VW workers check these for us. Green grommets 1H0 853 586 Front rear clip 1H0 853 585 Center Clip 1H0 853 585 B And whats the difference front and center clip
  5. Got seats' date=' centre console and door cards, drivers door card is cracked (car they were from was in a side impact) but im gonna try n get a quote to repair it If it cant be repaired ill leave it alone cos i thinks its red enuf tbh! so a Red steering wheel would be a bit much imo [/quote'] The steering wheels aren't colour coded in the CC's. It's just the VW sign in the airbag that is.
  6. They are both genuine Bosch pumps! Yeah but one comes in a VW box :-p
  7. I think red looks good as long as they are kept clean, and im justins are super clean. I painted mine black just to make it look nice and clean, but i might try silver this year to see how it looks.

  10. It sure was a good weekend for car cleaning, did my brothers on saturday and mine on sunday. P.s nice car
  11. Does anyone now how to remove the rubbing strips that go along the side of the car. It's just the strip on my drivers doors is coming away slightly. But its not enough to get any glue or something in there. so i would rather take it all off see about fixing it properly.
  12. Once you've applied Nitromors put whole wheel in a bin bag, or if you can get hold of any shrink wrap used for pallets wrapping works well. By wrapping it up, it stops the air drying it to quickly. Then unwrap and start scraping it off. I found using a plastic card (i.e. old credit card, Tesco club card) worked very well. Just cut the edge of the card you've been scarping with when it starts to get blunt. Then rinse of with a jet wash and re-apply if it all hasn't come off.
  13. Hi Adrian Bring the R32 as it will be nice to have a go in that too, just to see how it compares to Jay's charged VR. Purley for technical reasons only.
  14. Are these temps reached with normal griving or when your giving it plenty. As for the coolant temp check if your auxiliary water pump is runnig when the engine is running, and also the same water pump is running for about 10mins after the engine has been switched off. And i assume you have checked the fans on the radiotor are running OK. PS wellcome to the forum.
  15. Thanks for the postive comments 8-|

  19. You can buy the In-Pro ones from Gwent VW, for £179 and includes the bulbs aswell.
  20. If you are on about the clay then yes. Merguiars do one called Quick Clay which you can buy from halfords. It leaves the car smooth as glass.
  21. Couple of pointers. After you have removed the belt, it migt be a good idea to loosen the bolt that holds the bearing in place while the tensioner is still attached to the engine, unless you have access to a vice. And also remember that it is a left hand thread on the bearing bolt.
