  1. Well, the R32 styles have ballasts already.. For your average light, u cud just fit the bulb, but it wont have the typical xxenon look, it'll just big a massive blue light emitted.. I don't have to worry about my M.O.T's But if you got straight m.o.t's, in theory they shud fail as you need some headlight leveling thing andheadlamp washers.. I have neither as its hassle..
  2. lol I don't know how I do it.. really don't.. Well, the secret is... I'll PM you so i don't let the cat out of the bag!
  3. shocking! Damn shame... Any info on the new owner?
  4. Nope.. Glass, the R32 look like come with ballasts so the lights are just ripe for h.i.d's! Had to just go to a mates and the lights were prob on for about an hour and no probs! Just gotta get the other one in tomorrow
  5. Got my Audi S3 H.I.D's today... Came to a grand total of 36 I now have xenon's! Got some pics to show, have only fitted one so that I could show the difference in light compared to the CRAP In-Pro.. Never really bothered me about the light output, I just thought I'd do this because they look cool, but ehre ya go Will take some more in an hour if its not to scarily dark outside! ~ !amazed
  6. OK, Guess I'll stick with a standard... VW the best place?
  7. VW sell the headset? Also, confused as to whether its ok to fit the mkIV gasket if Im adding a charger?
  8. The part number wud be great, or i can just search in work tomoz.. what sort of money is a gasket? Also, again, any tips people? things to check, valves e.t.c
  9. Ok, so mk4 one is no good when going with a s/c... I got a fairly logical way of thinking, so am up for tackling any task really... I know the C.V boots and other external bits seem ok.. What I wanna know is how to check for internal wear and other things that I can't have alook at to see if anything needs replacing while its out... Also, all the new parts I'll need, such as stretch type bolts for the flywheel?? gaskets e.t.c... I'm not clued up with VR6 engines, so any advice as simply as it may seem wud be beneficial thx
  10. Love it!! Do love those wheels, I'm definetly going to go with 16"s one day!
  11. Also, If I'm going to be running an 8 psi charger later don the line... would a standard gasket be ok with this? I'm guessig I'll need a new head gasket, so how much is one of these? While its in pieces, are there any cheap-ish things I can do to benefit the engine?
  12. Im taking apart my 2.9 so I can fit the new bottom end.. Unfortunetly, it looks as though its going to be a 2.8 bottom end as I simply cannot find a 2.9... Im trying to cough up the money now, as HiFlow heads reakon they can rebore the bottom end to near 3000cc capacity and supply over sized pistons for around £800.. Well, thats another story... What I want to know is a list of things I shud check for when pulling apart... How to check for wear e.t.c, things I shud be careful off, certain 'ODD' tools I may need, and most importantly a list of things I'll need to replace.. such as stretch type
  13. Its ll good driving into the Uni halls car park... Even though it isn't a VR yet..
  14. What are the benefits of it as opposed to your usual AMD chip/remap? Could you still run one with a V-Engineering charger?
  15. Without being dumb, whats a dastek?
  16. I need one of thise, mines gone a bit rusty on some corners
  17. Anyone know anyone that can get these? Not really looked into what companies over here supply chargers, so dont really know.. The charger I'n getting was on a highline and the chip wont go with my corrado ecu... Nik Saran springs to mind??
  18. I want to hide my battery and most of the bottles, but got no where to put them, can't go in boot due to my install and not putting them inside the car, so gonna have to stick with a factory look engine... install wise anyway. Im eventually stripping the inside out and caging it so can think about relocating everythingthen i guess
  19. Smon's right! It really is easy, I expected it to be an ARSE! Make sure you have quality spline tools.. I purposely got the snap on man to bring some today for the job, cost a bit, but WELL worth it.. Yesterday, they totally MUNCHED my cheap set.. Clean out the heads as much as poss, tap the tool in and give it some elbow grease, I wrapped a pole around the rachet and this made it super easy! Also, as Si says, tap the tool in with a light hammer, this helps prevent rounding anything.. Dalj, defo LEARNT alot.. I really do feel confident enough to put the engine in myself now! Most if not all th
  20. Ok cool, so I can forget that then.. Cheers
  21. Tuesday's up-date! Basically done now, just have to pull the wiring out which I've got ready, just need to find out exactly what plugs come out from the fuse box and I'm sorted! Oh, gottta pull exhaust mani off to, but not hard! WHAT IS THIS? On both turrets...ABS sensor thing? And this set of 4 wires..? This leads to the ABS pump, but what it is exactly, as Im choosing NOT to have ABS on my car and wud like to know if I need this.. Mission impossible!! Gotta find what bits i need to pull out (Apparently 3 big white plugs, but i can't see any!) All been very fun and exciting! Don't thi

    Headlining?

While the headling is in the car its an arse, as u spray stuff on it and it comes down on your face and the seats e.t.c.. A good option to take is a steam cleaner! I used this on mine and it came up mint, u just have to do it on a hot day and leave your windows open.. maybe use some special additive to the water to fragrant it...
  23. You say that ISV;s are for OBD1 cars... How come my coilpacked VR has one? Its froma corrado...
