  1. I don't understand why these are fitted if they do nothing? They must do something? Surely by removing it your increasing a build up of carbon in the intake/engine...
  2. Get a mk4 cab front end and you can put any mk4 stuff on the front... If you get geunine mk3 wings, tehy will go on perfectly and they just bolt on... If you go for a wing with a pressed vent like mine, they aren't a great fit and take loads of messing about with to get fitting right... You have to get someone to lean on it while you do it up. I've not put mine on properly yet and it's not sitting right at all..
  3. fuckkkk lost for words!! Was the VR in the fire or was it moved on by then?
  4. Where's the best place to get them? Also, how much for a FULL set??
  5. Got another 2.9 VR engine for £100... yes, £100 purely because it has 3 bent valves! lol Well... Someone wants to buy my BLOWN bottom end with missing piston and hole all in block 4 and cylinder head with 3 bent exhaust valves for £100.... You reakon I shud let them have it, or could I make more bybreaking them for bits or something? i thought a ton was pretty good tbh!
  6. Need this pipe for the power steering that leads from steering rack to the pump.... The one on my mk3 has a curved end and then screws in... Does anyone know how much one of these brand new are? And is it the FULLL pipe from steering rack to the end piece shown in the pic?? Or can I just buy a new end piece and change my current mk3 one over? thanks
  7. Duno if you can rent them as yet... Maybebuy a copy of 'Evo' and have a peak in the back at the rental places... If you can't get an R32, get a 355! LOL
  8. Corrado is being picked up and trailered away soon enough! Well, Golf shud be going bodyshop this week fingers crossed for more bodywork and touch ups.. So didn't wanna go without a car for a week or however long, so i got myself an M-reg LWB 3.0 V6 Shogun! lol!! Last car I thought I'd lay my hands on, but it isn't THAT bad tbh!! The interior is disgusting with the usual grey e.t.c But the things shifts for such a house sized motor! Had it off the clock last night (120mph) so don't how fast it can go, but makes a nice noise!! Nearly stacked it tdue to not being used to the sponge suspension, s
  9. lol!! J.C, Thats what I noramlly do and mess things up! lol Cheers Ali!
  10. I just had this.. Where the flexible fuel line meets the 'thinner' line on the bracket that is attached to the offside suspension turrent (this is a common area to give way and cause the fuel smell..) Simply undo it, rid of the dodgey VW clip, if needed, cut the pipe a little bit then use a jubilee clip to re-attaches pipes.. Thing is, I cud never see the fuel as it evaporated so quick, but lucky had a lok when engine was running and saw the leak.. U may have the same prob..
  11. Whats the best method of removing the cylinder head?? I dont wanna do my normal style of undoing everything in sight... And I've leant my bently to a mate thats out of the country, so im stuck! Thanks
  12. 1ST refusal on the you know whats... Gota send me the pic too remeber!
  13. not by noticable amounts to be honest...if at all if done proper...
  14. No idea on part numbers I'm afriad, I simply look at ETKA when I go in (saturdays) and just look at the pics... If you want the part numbers.. most mk4 owners on the mk4 forum will know or even people on the corrado forum as they all seem to follow each other on buying them! but they are good! Im pretty happy with my single wiper, never actually had a bad thought come to think of it, just make sure you use lock tight on the nut that join the wiper mechainsim to the motor as i dind't and most dont and it used to keep working loose and stop working just when u needed it!!
  15. here's some pics http://corradovr6.fotopic.net/c217608_1.html
  16. Hello mate, your pm reminded me of this post... Strip down was real easy, alot easier than I expected, so much so, Im doing the complete conversion into my Golf myself, so saved around £1k there!! May have to get someone to do the wiring, but know enough people to sort that out no probs! HIFLOWHEADS.CO.UK is the site u want!! really good chaps and friendly and helpful!! I've not heard a bad word against them, so Im using them, or are they using me
  17. My oppinion is; 17"s look good as opposed to a 16" wheel of some width, unless its a Porsche wheel! 9X16"s look the bollocks, but tramline... I've had 7.5x17"s, 9x16"s and now on 8x17"s.. I personally wanna move back to 16"s as, although mine isn't a VR6 yet, the car felt quicker and the handles much better than 17"s... an 8x16 is perfect! (Design 90's)
  18. Si, LOW VR is the best plate!! But the other is cool, but as cool?? nahhh! BUT, If you ever wanna sell L8 WVR! I want!!!!! But I know what your g/f paid! lol
  19. When I had a standalone screen, i had it down by the gearstick.. When your driving, your not gonna look at it, when you stop, you can just sit and watch.. Tink it was hard for passenger to see though...
  20. They are so small, u'd only fit one arse cheek in it!
  21. I love it! Look perfect and brings the inside up to date.. Very stylish and love the heater controls and the way the heated seats buttons operate.. Its just if I cud be arsed to fit it! Im hoping for a lucky break with someone fitting it cheap..lol Gonna keep it in the shed with the engine, then prob stick it on ebay..
  22. Where's the best (cheapest) place to buy a quaiffe/peloquin LSD??
  23. Think its perfect, but soo much effort, im thinking about a mk4 dash as they are straight forward..
  24. Paid £700 Airbags intact, steering wheel (cant use), clocks, climate controls, heated seat buttons, centre console, everythign..
