  1. Where can I get other pulleys from? Ones that'll give an improvement? Neuspeed?
  2. Torx screw isn't it? Go down ya local D.I.Y place... A star shaped thing
  3. Got a matey in the states who builds VR6 lumps.. Specialises in turbo'd ones, knows what he is doing! Reakons he's been on the engines for 12 years..
  4. Its got to be done though.. What holds it up? Clips?
  5. Just guna get the turn2 one with my pistons... Quote CNC and lighten aluminum crank pulley for ANY VW VR6 car. This aluminum pulley is more than 5.5 lbs lighter than the heavy OEM (6 lb13.2oz) pulley. The Turn2 pulley will give you 4+ wheel hp, increased throttle response, faster revs and a butter smooth drive train. You will experience the benefits of this upgrade during the first casual drive. There is no second guessing regarding if "it actually works". The Turn2 pulley is produced on a 7 axis CNC machine, finished in OEM dimensions. Other brands are done on a simple mill. Supercharge
  6. Anyone done this?? Im worried about pulling it down and it not going back correctly...
  7. Simon, what pulley is it? Don't think the Turn2 is underdrivene, so will be cool when/if the charger goes on.. I'll prob by it off ya as it saves my mate shippin it from the u.s... The pulley is defo being used with a lightened and balanced fly..
  8. Flywheel is being lightened and balanced... Sorted then!
  9. Anyone running one of these?? Any real advantages to getting one? My contact in the states said I can get myself one for £110! Worth doing?
  10. Im getting a miltek, meant to be real good!
  11. Anyone running oe of these as opposed to the supersprint? Can get a brand new one this week for £70..... Just wanted any oppinions on it.. Cheers [ Edited ]
  12. I polished the top and front of my gearbox, literally finished that last week, had a loook today, and the thing is already covered in white crap!! I've had polished wheels and other bits and I'd say the wheels ahve been more exposed to the elements, and never got this white stuff! What is it and why has it taken over the gearbox so fast? Im thinking about painting the box black now as I dont want the white stuff being seen as its horride!! Took ages polishing that! Can u get the box laquered? or does it get tooo hot? !ill x) &|
  13. If a head is off the block, is the only sign of a bent valve a 'non flush fitting valve'?? I have a second 2.9 head with 1 EVIDENT bent valve as the valve isn't sitting properly.. All the other look perfect in terms of the way they sit, so does it sound like they are ok?
  14. I think the prices are not inclusive of V.A.T... But not bad!
  15. Bummer!! Lucky the bummer never had te swage line smoothed!! Some twat reversed into my car and cracked my front one, luckily I was in it! They paid for my recess to be shortened! lol Justin, good things always come of stuff like that
  16. I got my new engine and looked at the differences.. On my 1994 Corrado lump, the rocker cover is metal On my other Corrado lump, its black plastic... Why?? I didn't know Corrado came with a black rocker..
  17. Not used them as yet, but they are really good guys, sooo helpful and Im sorting them out with some bits, and they are guna be doing some work on mine!! Go for them!
  18. Hope you dont need a flowed head, wont be able to get that done till after x-mas if I bother.. Will get back to u on the sitution with you know... Should find out tomoz
  19. Im actually using Plasticoat...
  20. No probs... Just been assured with the rebore which isn't really that much, and the forged pistons, balanced conrods, whatever else I'm having done, I shud have a healthy block... Just have to get the head done to match now then wack the charger on! As Hiten said the 2.8 and 2.9 blocks are the same, just the 2.9 has a larger bore
  21. I am a tad worried about boring my 2.9 block, as I've managed to put a piston thought a STANDARD 2.9, So running a bored out 2.9 is a bit of a worry as to how much it'll be able to take.. Especially if I drive it like a stole it! JC, PM Sent..
  22. Not unless you can change it to 3.0 DOHC lol
  23. Ohh, dont fancy ropping a valve, the guys who's sorting me out had this problem! My car should still be as reliable right? JC, Let me know a price on the set as it could work out cheaper than coming from the U.S... How comes you are thnking about taking the other off from the car? With the ARP bolts you have, the piston wouldn't require machining would it? The package I was going for from the states, the guy was going to mahcine the conrods a bit to give the ARP bolts a better hold, something liek that!
  24. Will keep you up to date.. Dont think Im going for EIP tuning pistons.. Going JE forged ones now, with modified conrods to allow the ARP bolts to have a tighter hold and prevent a piston coming out again..
