  1. On my corrado VR6 it has some random box on the near side of the car, next to where the cam chains are... with 2 fuses in it.. what is that?

  4. Im a bit pissed! Going to be pulling the engine out... Think instead of throwing my engine into my car for the sake of having it in there straight away, im going to keep it hanging about and save up a little bit so I can replace all the timing chains and tensioners e.t.c. Be worth it in the long run! Rebuilding the internals, so shud be a pretty sound engine which I hope to drive hard and hopefully it'll last! If a VR6 has had a FULL VW service history and has done 107k, you think any of this has been changed?? Haven't got allll the VW bills, so can't read up on it..
  5. Don't mean to post this here as a request for bits.. more of a question, I've been told that finding these parts is an ARSE! Are they that rare if at all?? VR6 Clocks Mk3 MFA stalk Clutch master cylinder Clutch pedal/Spring OR whole pedal box Rad/fans radaitor/cooling pipes... I'd imagine the pipes are easy to get...

  8. Yeah, well... I'm on the case of a 69k engine, but its got no S/H.. I want an engine with S/H so it backs up the mileage to a point... Dos the one you have, have S/H mate? Will be V. interested if its got it and its on the subframe..
  9. I got the blown bottom end in my 2.9 VR.. I have 2 guys wanting to give me £650 to take it off my hands.. This is everything bar brakes and subframe.. so box, loom, ecu, most things you;ll need! But Im thinking I should break it as I can actually make more.. But doing this, will be hassle which I don't really want.. But what sort of figures could I be asking for individual parts if anyone cares to give it a thought..... thanks

  12. Right, if you don't know... I've bought a VW Corrado VR6.. It obviously has the 2.9 engine and is VERY healthy and suprisingly feels different to any of the standard VR6 Golf's I've driven.. Didn't think they'd be any! Well,what I'd like is some info on my purchase, not wanting to hear anything on the car, just the engine.. Please can you tell me the spec of it and anything and everything you know about it please... Its an 1994 L-reg car, OBD1 im guessing, if they do different variations on the corrado's... Also, are there anything to listen out for and look for... Well i place my heard near
  13. I take it you mean a 'smear' type thing as opposed to white residue?? If so, best way is to give it some elbow grease or if you have some form of liquid cleaner (glass cleaner) use that... I take it you haven't actually washed the car since polishing? lol that shud get it off too..

    I had the rear fog lamp thing, you may wanna check the connection on the rear baseplate that goes into the rear cluster, mine was rusty and corroded! Simple clean up solved the prob!
  17. Anyone running uprated top mounts all round? If so, what ones and what are your thoughts as opposed to standard ones? Thanks
  18. If you can't possibly open it with the button, maybe get someone on the inside to push it while u pull from outside... If that doesn't work, climb in the boot, undo the screw in the recess handle bit, pull the plastic cover off, and find the pull for the lock and pull it to unlock the boot... if that doens't open it, then it'll seem that tailgate has jamed on somehow!
  19. I had 4 from GSF and all of them were like that, after the second one, i cut a bit from the first one and covered the gap, looked shite, i eventually got a VAG one and its lasted for well over a year now!!! and my car is lower since the GFS ones! Worth getting!
  20. Nice one. Alot of people opted for full on Koni's over them, but they are pretty much identical, ur just buying FK springs instead of Koni! I've got the konigsports and I haven't had a prob and never actually heard of one yet... Hope u enjoy them!

  22. Surely you can get one of those smaller pipercross breather filters... £24 or something IF THAT!
  23. N20 actually makes the engine run cooler, no way of it melting down due to the addition of n20, no matter how much faster it runs when the n20 is being released... Well, thats what I've learnt from my local installer buddy

Its coming up that time for me, waiting for a mate to come back to me, (broker ) But every website wont give me a figure due to the modifications, so over the phone it has to be if my mate dones't pull through, which are good for transplanted enignes? 19 year old with a VR, there go my nights out!
