What makes you think that it's the tailgate?? Usually it's the light clusters that loose their sealing ability, has the car been rear ended at all?? Check the gaps either side of the tailgate to see that they are even, Is the Hatch itself sitting proud or high? There are stops on the tailgate that can be adjusted to bring the tailgate lower to the bodywork, try them, if not have a look behind you light clusters, they may need reasealed.

Isn't BR Motorsport from your neck of the woods?? They 2 specialise on the VR6 engine. Just a thought, as I'd suspect that it is quite a LARGE job, I'm not sure, but you could be looking at lowering the front subframe in order to gain access. That's why I suggested BRM. Once in I'd suspect that you'd be looking around the 8 - 12 hours in total to do as you ask, so it won't be over in a day, 2 days probably will suffice... Just my tuppenth worth.........

Yep! Olly listen to the guys...Don't do it! I have a 735 BMW and the unwanted attention it brings isn't worth having, inluding 4 flat tyres, Kids Continually leaning on it/touching it, to kids wanting to set its alarm off!! ~ then theres the price of parts! Treble the price of VR parts, and Oh! did I mention the "fake" Economy whereby the handbook states "X" and you can get no where near it despite changing all the parts MAF/Dizzy/Rotor Arm/Injectors/ Fuel regulator/ etc etc . I had an Audi 200 Turbo Quattro with a professionally rebuilt engine to 270bhp and the fuel economy on that if yo

Help me fit my suspension.....please :-)
28v6r replied to Pittuf's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Okay Birthday Boy as it's you, your wish will be granted.....Just this once mind!! I'm presuming that you've fitted suspension before Yes?? Okay then may be not .... On the front Struts you will need to relieve the tension on the nut you refer to, by using coil compressors, otherwise things tend to come off with a MIGHTY Bang!! !amazed make sure that if you go for the **BANG** method that all your digits and heads are clear of the strut tower otherwise you may loose one or so... :@ Anyway, once the coil has been collapsed the nut can be removed, if you've a digital camera it may be -

Actually.... when I picked up mine from London, I did at one point manage 35mpg, but yes, 34mpg is about right and damn good if you ask me. Before my VR, I had a Volvo 760GLE Estate and it only managed 27-29mpg on a long run and it was a 2.8 V6!! So.. yes I'm pretty happy with that but I don't know if it can be bettered...

Errrmm.... if it's not a six cylinder on full song, then it has to be a five pot letting rip, or a nice healthy dub-dub of a V8 idling.... anything else anyone???

I'd agree with that one, what you'll find is that your up against the "Autobidder", there's a web site that you down load from that supplies this, and what happens is that it being computer operated, it can wait up until a second from the end of auction and place a winning bid, hence how you're losing . Me personally I don't think its fair game ~ , but Ebay seem to think its okay :? . Wait until you have a non payer on Ebay, or better still a punter that you've bought goods from run off with your bankers draft/cash etc. The European auctions are the ones to watch for this, they're notoriou

Performance Body Shop, Chapelhall, Lanarkshire.- He's not cheap mind, but he was the first to paint in "chameleon" (?) pearlescent, the paint that costs £300 per litre, and changes to three different colours as you look at it (blue, purple, green) He takes his time and as one of my friends describes him, the "dawgs doodahs" of a paint job, apparently. And my friend knows what he's talking about regarding preparation and painting, as his Mk3 Cortina Crayford has won various prestigious awards at the classic car shows up and down the country.... and he painted it himself!! 8o)
