  1. Looks like a nice piece of kit and £300 is a reasonable price. It's good to see the Supermarkets pushing the prices down - the likes of Currys & Dixons are making ridiculous profits on TFTs at the moment. £500-£600 for a 17" TV is taking the piss. I might have to swing by Savacentre this week and take a look. Need a new TV for the bedroom!!
  2. Look, guys, no amount of ranting on this forum is going to get you your money back. Do you seriously think Robert is going to suddenly post here saying "ooo you people are so angry, I'd better pay up" ?!?!?? At the end of the day you have all paid this guy money in good faith. What he's done is illegal and you need to seek advice from Trading Standards. Going to the local press would be a good idea too.
  3. I've got a set of show plates in my garage standing by for when this ANPR system goes live. If I even get a sniff of ANPR being used for speed limit enforcement or road pricing, they're going on as a protest.
  4. 2.5k is a great price considering all the rewiring work that has to be done.... You're going to keep the stock engine management and drive-by-wire, yes?
  5. Interested to see how this conversion turns out. Be sure to fill us in on any problems encountered and how you got around them!!
  6. It's the wiring and the mechanical linkage that fails more often than the motor itself. You can pick up a complete linkage with motor attached fairly cheaply from a breakers and it's not too difficult to fit.
  7. As soon as all of the people that paid Ultimatetune are refunded, we can sort out another group buy with NS Racing, on the VF-E Stage 2 kit (similar to C2 stage 1). A few people on the-corrado .net forum did a group buy with them last year and are all happy as far as I know!
  8. Some Lumenition clear HT leads would look pretty good on your engine, I reckon. You'd be best using them just for shows though, as they tend to turn brown after extended use.
  9. I'm never sure what the pressures should be for 205/40/17s n 17" wheels either. I assume 28psi?
  10. Did this job on my brother's VR a few months back. I supported the engine with a trolley jack on the bit where the gearbox bellhousing meets the engine. Also, I had to take the front of the car off to get good access to the starter. Other than that, it was an easy enough job. Took about 2 hours to do.
  11. You might want to see this' date=' then. Murcielago R-GT Concept.... [img']http://www.fourtitude.com/gallery/generated//Lamborghini/Concept%20Cars/Murcielago%20R-GT/Exterior/001__scaled_600.jpg Well 'ard! I tell ya, Lamborghini have really come on form since Audi took over...
  12. Behold, the Lamborghini Miura has been given the Mini treatment and brought bang up-to-date: http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/publish/lamborghini_news/article_1651.shtml How sexy is that car?!?? I'd leave my wife for it.
  13. 17x7 or 17x7.5 will be fine with 205/40/17 tyres. 17x8 can rub a bit at the rear.
  14. Like it! Look at the amount of rich buggers in their Mercs & Bentleys with private plates and suspect spacing. I bet no-one fines THEM 30 quid!!
  15. Yes, it's easy to replace. Stick your arm under the seat and pull it out of its socket.
  16. Nice. That rolling shot of Justin's car came out really well!
  17. No, the gearbox only needs to come off if you are fitting a lightened flywheel as well. Crank pulley is accessible from within the offside wheel well.

    Carputer

Good quality in-car screens have a dimmer that is hooked up to the car's dashboard lighting circuit. 'tis huge though, isn't it! Big enough to have sat Nav and DVD playback up at the same time!
  19. Yes, you will need a new set of bearings - the outer bearing rings won't come out of the old discs without damage. You will need a good soft-faced hammer 'cos it's used extensively in this job. You will also need the piston windback tool (Haynes' suggested alternative of using long nosed pliers is ineffective - the thing is very tight to start off with and you can't get enough torque with pliers). Also, an 8mm Allen key socket, a 2 foot breaker bar and a set of large sockets (20mm-36mm). Handbrake needs to be OFF throughout the process. New bearing rings are hammered into the disc centre usi
