  1. Any special fitting required, or is this just ' whack it on'?
  2. Hi All, Should the front pads on a 97 highline have sensor wires in?
  3. Hi all, im looking at some parts on ECP, and there are 2 options 1 - up to 1HS399999 and 2 - from 1HS400001 My CHassis number is VVWblahblah1HZ123456 I take it the 1HZ and 1HS mean the same?
  4. okey dokey, will get new bearings, disks and pads. How hard is this to do(re bearings)? Will it be obvious as my haynes manual doesnt include VR6...
  5. Hi, anyone know if this affects the inner or outer bearing or both?
  6. Thanks... Would this be the inner bearing or outer bearing or both? I notice ECP do a complete kit containing both...
  7. Hi all and a Merry Christmas. I am about to change rear discs and pads on my '97 highline. Is this a simple operation of removing and replacing as with most cars? I realise the caliper needs turning and compressing using the special tool, but have also heard that the disc is attached to the bearing and this needs replacing too? Thanks all
  8. So what we are saying is, you just need to put everything back like it was. ABS rings on the front, and bearings on the rear? Is it obvious what to do as i dont know much about ABS or wheel bearings
  9. Hi all, can someone tell me (everything) that needs doing when changing discs and pads on front and back. I know how to do the job, ie, compressing the piston and all. I have just heard that other things need doing too,ie ABS Rings, ABS Cogs, Wheel bearings... Thanks
  10. bugger me, mine isnt that bad!!! I can hear the noise mine makes in the background though. Maybe im just hearing the noise its supposed to make?
  11. Can anyone remember where you fill up the rear washer? My front works but not the back. Do they come from the same tank or is there a separate one?
  12. hey - this is the noise mine makes. Been trying to work it out for ages. If you go along in first gear at about 1500 rpm its clearest. Kind of like a shhhh tick tick..... Mines only done 45k..
  13. Well, i cant see any leaks! It sounds like its coming from lower down anyway...
  14. hmm, now thats an idea! Im sure it started when the garage was doing something to the steering column, so they might have removed the intake pipes and not connected something up properly again.... hmmm...
  15. Well i tried regreasing the belt tensioner pulley and no difference. Any ideas people? Its more of a fluttering noise i think...
