any modified car will be less reliable than a stanadrd one to a degree but chargers are a simple bolt on and prettty bullet proof. Driveability is fine, the car feels as smooth as before just faster... you'll lose a bit of traction but it's not a major issue why 255?
the schrick is about torque rather than BHP... it wont give you big power figures but it will make the car pull better from lower down. If it was me I'd save a bit more money and get a supercharger... it will make the car a LOT quicker rather than just a bit quicker
I'd rather have kept this private but as you dont mind discussing it in public... it would have been nice if you'd replied to my pm apologising for sending me a dodgy cheque (resulting in my incurring bank charges) for goods you'd already had and letting me know that you would send me full payment to put it right To think you pm'd me asking me to leave you feedback as well!!
I use mine every day driving down country lanes so even though I give it a quick wash every week it's pretty much contantly filthy at this time of year... not a lot you can do. I actually wonder if constant washing does more harm than good at this time of year. All that grit and salt being wiped off the car is just asking for swirl marks. The paint has got several coats of wax protecting it so being dirty isnt going to hurt it
There has to be an indicator visible from the side of the car... my solution after theyd been removed was to keep the wiring and bulbs tucked away under the scuttle panel and pull it out for the test... or take it to te bloke where pete works
Yeah I went to a meet at the Balkerne Gate... I had a black VR6 syncro then. There will be some phat dubs meets when the weather gets better and there's usually a convoy leaving colchester to most of the shows
Yeah Im in Colchester, there's quite a few VR owners round here... Can't remember if I spoke to you at E38 I spoke to a lot of people but I was on the phat dubs stand You don't live in the turner rd area do you? just there's a mystic blue VR I keep seeing up there round the corner from a friend Powder coaters are called PPC 01206 729393 there's another one in Colchester but theyre a bit more expensive
I'm no audio expert but how is amplifying a crap set of speakers going to make them sound any better?! In my experiences running a half decent set of components from the head unit will sound a million times better than amplifying a crap set of standard speakers
I did mine with halfords spray cans and shit loads of lacquer... I used VW reflex silver but that was a bit dark. That nissan silver is a nice bright shade though... total cost was about £20. Better bet will be powdercoating them... theres a place in rowhedge that did a set of solitudes for me for £90 (including shot blasting them)
Ive always wanted a 911 but the problem with 911s is the running costs, parts and servicing is 4 times that of a golf... anyway a 911 turbo of any age is still more than £10k
aah TSW imolas... I had and refurbed a set of those, according to TSW the colour is Nissan starburst silver Jim are you doing all 4 wheels or just touching one up?
I think he's looking to buy something different rather than trying to prove what a charged VR is quicker than Really it depends on why you're wanting to change? Is the VR too slow, too old, too dirty etc?
