  1. yeah it was... the whole point of the ad was they had a petrol station in the middle of nowhere but the golf didnt need to stop I've got a few vw ads on my mac at home... some cool american ones for the mk4 gti
  2. afaik they're all et32 but the offset should be stamped on the back somewhere... if you do happen to have a set that is et35 then you have a whole 3mm extra arch clearance
  3. if you remove the carbon canister you can run a pipe through the hole and fit the filter underneath or if you dont want to do that... go to K&N website and they do loads of universal filters in different shpaes and sizes, phone them up with your dimensions and they'll tell you which one will fit... you will be able to fit one in the bay, you'll be surprised at how small a filter you actually need to supply enough air to a VR
  4. well going by your name, if yours is a VR6 syncro it's a 2.9 ABV
  5. there's info on location of the pump/water bottle etc in the instructions with the kit isnt there? If not have a look on their website there's a lot of info there
  6. I dont think 205/40/17 on a 7.5 is what Id call stretched but if you're not lowered much go for 215's I'm planning on 195/40/17 on my competitions if I can find them at a reasonable price
  7. Ive had jamex shocks and springs which were pretty good but havent had the coilovers before
  8. yeah me too... I'd at least managed to work out where to put the pump though, just wiring things up isnt my strong point to say the least!
  9. I've got a load of chrome VR6 parts for sale if you need some more bling
  10. famous last words? iirc my pressure switch was connected to the servo pipe I had a bracket made to fit mine...it all depends where your water bottle is as the pump should be lower My relay was screwed to the bulk head
  11. It's basically the same AAA lump in all of them (except for yours!)
  12. Are you having yours remapped then?
  13. If you're going to advance the timing then fit some sort of water level warning light 3 seconds is really quick do you have a pit crew or something?
  14. you'll have a 3.0bar fuel pressure regulator and will need to change it to a 4.0 one. A CDA wont fit under there especially with aircon
  15. out of interest what width are they? looks like some serious dish on them!
  16. you dont actually say what width the wheels are or what the offset is... thats quite important in working out if they'll rub although it doesnt really matter because unless theyre 10s o something 215/45s is the wrong size
  17. really? Thats a result... I always thought it did, maybe it happens over time... I always leave mine unlaquered anyway as it's easier to polish out any kerb marks or scuffs that inevitably happen
  18. You think a mk3 golf outhandles an EVO??
