  1. btw they were available in 17x7.5" 5x100 fitment... I used to have some (although I put wider dishes on to make them 9s ...
  2. with 235/45 tyres they'll be wider than that! Theyre OZ futuras, when Ive seen them in porsche fitment before Im sure theyve been 9.5" on the rears
  3. LMFAO!! Harsh but fair... while everyone else is discussing how they work, he's still stuck on whether they work or not!
  4. VW specialist in the Maldon Area... Wouldnt be Strictly Dubs would it? IF it is then I can recommend them, they know plenty about VR6s (sticking them into Mk2s is their speciality and have worked on all 3 of mine
  5. I think it's better to do all or nothing... on my last one I smoothed everything except the number plate recess but Ive decided to leave this one alone (US cars had no number plate recess anyway )
  6. no idea... the parts come up on ebay sometimes... tbh I rarely ever use mine
  7. is that for the metal or plastic ones? Mine have got polished metal audi caps but I had VW ones on my old set... cant decide which I prefer
  8. are they hella reds or custom jobs? My custom ones I cant get to flash amber whatever I put in them
  9. they are 7.5J centre caps from VW (same ones that go on solitudes about £3 each) 205/40/17 tyres or if you can afford them 195/40/17 would be even better. I've got a set of these (yep another set!) that Im shopping around for tyres now but 195s are way more expensive than 205s
  10. I've got cc on my VR... I also know someone that has retro fitted it to his colour concept and said it was fairly straight forward
  11. a merc style VW bonnet ornament!
  12. Here's the road into work which explains why my car is always dirty at this time of year!!
  13. There is 3 different strengths... I use all 3 about twice a year to get rid of any fine scratches and restore the depth to the finish then generally I only use the finest one or the 2nd finest one to keep them looking shiny. Have a look at the link I posted and it explains better than I do, I've tried a lot of different polishes and thats the best Ive found.
  14. well yeah obviously they were completely stripped and polished first but thats the product I used to keep them looking like that
  15. Presumably you mean the 3rd one down Which I wouldnt put anywhere near polished anything.... unless your wheels are corroded why would you want to use it?! The first one looks more appropriate or I use this stuff... available here... http://www.thepolishingcompany.com/metalpolishkit.html which made my TT comps look like this...
  16. no point using more than one coat of SRP as surely each coat will take off the previous one?
  17. Its possible that the mirror glass has been broken and replaced with the wrong glass at some point
  18. spray the outside and depends what you're offering?
  19. what an insult!! I've had them on all 3 of my VR6s... these I did myself using red tint on CL lights' date=' they came out pretty good but the finish wasnt as glossy as I would have liked (the angle makes them look different shades) [img']http://homepage.ntlworld.com/justin.minns/highline/3.jpg this set were done completely red by the body shop using some fine coats of red and a ton of lacquer and were a million times better and the current set were done by the same body shop but this time leaving the reverse lights clear as I was tired of people behind me not expecting me to go backwards!
