I thought I'd show some of the work I've done so far to my Golf n it's quiet at work!!! I took my old VR6 for its MOT and it came back with load of problems n with all the rust all over the car it wasn't worth repairing. So the hunt started for something with less rust n worth swapping the good parts onto. When I found this. It was in a buliderds yard where it had sat for two years n it had a few problems but nothing to bad having only done 94k n a full service history. So I swapped over the Koni coilovers, 6 branch manifold and system, Audi RS4's n fixed the parts that were broken, he1 point

Curious why you'd choose a mk3 VR for a mk4? Yes it'll fit minus changing the wiring but I'd suggest you go for a modern VR like the 4mo engine or r32? Infact someone on here is selling a complete 4mo engine. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point -

Hi, from what i have read the OBX stuff needs shimming and some modification to fit correctly. the 3.68 drops the gearing across the range eg before 35 in 1st after 30 i have had mine done but also had a diesel 5th gear installed to bring back the 5th gear cruising. costs are gear box out, new bearings and seals (for rebuild) buying the LSD (upto 800~) you will also need the ARP diff bolts (75) and about 60 quid for the 3.68 as the box is coming out why not do chains and clutch (more money!) there was someone selling a whole 02a box on the classifieds with all apart from the 5th gear for 950,1 point
