  2. Look into old cars like mg's or kit car washer bottles, they use little bags. [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Got mine from auto smart was &15 or £20 I think. You don't by any chance have a bloke called Billy come round do ya? Possibly Scottish? A good tip that he gave me was to bed it in a bit on the windows or a couple of cars windows before you touch the paint[emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah I got given one buy our valeting supplier at work to try as I was really sceptical about them, but I was seriously proved wrong they're really good........... and strangely addictive to use lol! Just ask Bealieboy he's probably been using his on his neighbours cars or something now he loves it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Will probably have mine up for sale in a couple of months,it's a fully working one currently on my obd2 mk3 in excellent condition, not been polished, painted or anything just clean[emoji6], here's a pic; Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hi mate welcome to the club! Car looks tidy, sounds like you've got a good list of go faster bits there! The Schrick made a massive difference to how mine drives they pick up so much better from low revs[emoji6], got any other plans for it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That's not to bad at all was expecting more like £100! Got a couple of local places so I'll have a phone around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah hopefully! Going to get the head sent off for its rebuild this week if I get a chance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. That's something I've been thinking about doing, what you going to do with the sunroof trim and grab handles? Am I right in saying you can get passat black handles? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I would of bought them at that price, bargain! Yeah I love my snap-on stuff as well, you just can't beat it, I'm a proper tool tart! Talking of bargains picked up this lot today for all of....... nothing[emoji3] Well the bloke didn't want anything but I gave him a drink for it, want to get it all painted or powder coated ready for the new engine. Plus it'll be good to have a few spares. Anyone got any idea what it costs to have something like a subframe powder coated? Not something I've ever had done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. A Golf VR6 was the first quick car I ever drove probably a month or so after passing my test and having a mk4 escort 1.3L with as many Rs turbo bits as I could find bolted to it[emoji12], I couldn't believe my luck when my boss told me to drop it back to the customer. I absolutely loved it and thought it was the fastest thing ever! Then last year ( about 13 or 14 years later I was flicking through eBay looking to relive my youth by hunting for an escort or fiesta turbo[emoji14]and then realising I didn't want to spend £2000 on a rust bucket with no power steering[emoji23]I came across my Vr f

Mine was bad enough with just the side skirts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Definitely want a set of these though probably just the water hoses, though I think Bealieboy might want an induction hose so shouldn't be a problem. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. How much did you pay for the visors Cabbs? Bargain or not?! Wanna see a pic of them in I keep thinking about buying a set, though I'm not paying the scene tax on the matching black interior light sun roof switch though[emoji3], ridiculous what they go for!!! Looks like the supercharger might be off, hopefully being swapped for most of a turbo set up[emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]!! After spending some time with a friend of a friend who's just finished his mk2 Vr turbo sleeper, but mostly because of driving through the A1M Hatfield Galleria tunnel with him and the screamer pipe[emoji15] I'm sold
  15. Had a few 3.2's in at work recently with stretched timing chains a very common problem apparently, with cars that have over 60k on them, we refuse to get involved with and after speaking to a couple of mates at audi main dealers they don't like doing them either! Can quite easily be a £2000+ job. You usually find out with a engine light on, rough running and cam/crank sensor faults. Not sure if the 2.8's suffer with the same problems? 17. I've just got this thing about paying full price for anything when it comes to cars! I just can't do it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I've got a set of cl rears that I tinted the indicator red on if you want to try em? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Yeah I know what you mean.........hold on you've got green on green I reckon you need a bit of contrast![emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Just put a set of original smoked rear lights in the golf (as it came with hideous crystal rear lights when I bought it) and I think I might prefer them over my red black reds that I put in there. A bargain at £10 the set from Paceo and they're mint! What do people reckon? Red black reds; Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I should be up for this, might have my new engine in there by then, hopefully force fed by something[emoji16] if I get my arse in gear and fancy making it unreliable! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Outside; Us spec bumpers, shortened rear recess, stubby 6n2 mirrors, polo smoothed handles, lots of new trim bits and bobs. Inside; Oe recaro's, mk3.5 wheel chrome door handles and seat belt runners, Rolling Stones gear knob, highline console and black pillars. Engine; Schrick inlet, drilled airbox, eisenmann/ miltek exhaust, but hopefully more by then. Basically as oem+ as possible even i
  22. Be interested if they can come in black and what VR6cabbs said. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. They'll probably be ok, though with that many faults I'd say that there was a fair chance it could be an abs ecu issue, which is really common problem with old golfs and stuff! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Hi welcome to the club,If you're talking about what I think you are the seals are part of the quarter glass which is bonded onto the car. Which means you would need new windows, which aren't cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I had to press the sport button on the way back just to get up some of the hills on the m25 without being overtaken by a lorry!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
