    i found it a pig of a job, drivers sidebolts wont come out because they touch the oil sump of engine. So you need to lift the engine to do it. I decided to take it to a local garage in the end.

    im thinking of smoothing my front bumper, and putting indicators in my mk4 headlights. Anyone know of any foglights that mount in the lower grill of the front bumper. I have been told they are available but i have never seen any.

    also had this exact problem, replaced with genuine leads and solved the problem. Buy quality leads and you should be sorted. Also how are you fitting/removing the HT leads? do you use the correct tool or have u damaged them whilst installing them??

    Hi all. Im in the process of refurbing a set of santa monica alloys for winter use. im going to spray the wheel inserts gun metal grey (like original). and polish the faces up. However will i be able to spray the wheels with a clear coat laquer to protect them.Or will it not stick to polished faces? Any painting advice would be useful as this is my first time.

    im considering getting a 6 branch. How does it bolt up to the standard cat? Isn,t it a different fitting. The cat flange has 3 bolts.

    if you jack up both f ront wheels and support the car,, stick it in gear then hold some wet and dry sandpaper on the outer rim. Speeds up the job.

    Definately go standard. I bought mine couple of weeks ago from TPS in red. They were to replace my magnecor 8.5mm leads which lasted one year before the rubber perished and split causing the car to miss fire. its hard to explain but the metal cap that attaches to the spark plug itself is much better design on the standard leads. Also 8.5mm leads wont fit in the plastic rails without boring them out with a dremel. P.S if you were to ignore my advice and buy magnecor leads anyway, i can send you a set of engine plastics that have been bored out to correct size, although you would need to let m

    im not really helping your situation, but you should have let me buy that kit. then you would be having all these problems!!!! You beat me to it by literally couple of hours. LOL

    id say not, they look the same as mk5 r32, which are 5x112 pcd. Also they are huge and would probably need 18" wheels to clear them. 312mm upgrade would be better option

    Standard vr6 steering wheels are butt ugly. I've currently got a momo wheel installed but sometimes woory about safety, because from removing the steering wheel neither driver or passenger airbag will work!! So my question is will a smart Audi or VW wheel fit onto a vr6 Hub? Will it link into the airbag safety system? Also if it had audio controls, could these be wired in??

    id buy some proper bolts mate. They are supposed to be allen head bolts. Probably high tensile bolts. Safety first

    If you remove 3mm off back of adapter, Then you will be wanting to remove the thread off the allen key bolts??? Correct??? If so then just take 3mm off them because they will just be poking out anyway? The extra length wont be making it anymore secure

    how about white look good ? Interesting white centres with polished lip, im just not very good a visualising and dont want to spend a fortune making the rims look sh*t.

    just got a set of Santa monicas, so in the process of refurbing them t the moment to use in the winter. The keep the BBSfor special occasions haha.
