  1. Nice one......... we need more mag features to promote our group, come on all you builders get going!!!!!!
  2. Take a pic of the throttle body so we can have a look at it
  3. I didn’t when I recently MOT’d my car with hell quads and hid kit. Anyway, at MOT time, just disconnect it, put standard bulbs in. After mot replace hid kit.....
  4. 95 was the change over period. OBD2 coil pack is oblong with 6 HT lead slots and a mulit plug in the top.
  5. Nice work here squire...Don’t know how I managed to miss this one......
  6. I used Maplins electrical contact cleaner, Spray can on my MAF, and on a MAF in a Citroen Xsara diesel. Works a treat....
  7. Could be the immobiliser has kicked in and won’t disarm. Or, it could be something really stupid like a bad earth. Someone else should be along soon though and they might be able to shed some more light..
  8. Ahhhhhhh. I was reading the last post, as I’d read the rest before, so hadn’t seen the updated list. I want to put my name down, but can’t commit until I know what I’m doing work wise!!!!!!!
  9. My thoughts there.....With a cold system remove cap and top up as required. Run the engine till warm with the cap off, when fluid starts to rise, put the cap back on. Whilst running the car and waiting for the system to heat up, put the heat selector onto hot and the blower on to full. After the cap is back on, turn off motor and wait for it to cool down, check level. I actually had to drive mine for just over 200 miles and wait till the next morning to get all the air out of mine.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. You will need to put a resistor across your airbag plug otherwise the airbag light will be on and this is now an MOT failure!!!
  11. Clean both sides then!!!! Open up the rubbers use some stiff but flexible wire and probe up the channels. When down, pour more water down the sunroof drains until it comes out of the rubber......best of luck. But would still check pollen filter that you don’t have!!!!

  13. I’m a biker as well, and a car will NEVER compete with a bike on acceleration, a 200 bhp bike will p*** all over ANY 200 bhp car so it’s not really a comparison.
  14. dash out I do believe......live with it if it’s not too loud, maybe it’ll go away with usage??!!
  15. I’m not sure, I guess some bits can be bought separately, you’d need to check. I know the cables can be bought separately. Sure someone will be along to clarify what’s what....
  16. It may be that the handbrake mechanism is not adjusting correctly. The cable is in 2 bits, and the nearside may be stretched. This happened to mine, nearside handbrake was not as good as offside, was told needed handbrake cable changing.
  17. There might be one or two that would dispute that comment, how about a STANDARD VR is never going to be a performance weapon by TODAYS standards. it’s still pretty quick compared to a lot of stuff around at the mo.....
  18. Sounds as thought it was just a glitch...software was probably thinking what am I supposed to do at this RPM so hesitated, then it realised but you had throttled off so next time round it just performed as it should have. Wouldn’t worry about it too much and continue with your plans
  19. Ah good point, the Aux water pump, as they continue on after the engine has been turned off as well.......
