  1. Looks like a good event, those chrome and hold bbs look the bees knees
  2. I forgot about my iPhone 4s which I use as my laptop has finally died. Also have the large outdoor helicopter and the small plane I just bought £25 and it's pretty good actually lol Some good gadgets here might have to buy some more soon lol you can never have to many
  3. Come on then people what gizmos and gadgets do you have? I have Small indoor helicopter Small indoor helicopter with usable winch Tamiya 1/10th touring car which I customised and now drifts Scalextric Cars have working lights 1/8th nitro buggy thunder tiger eb4 Crossbow with plastic suckers I'll get some pictures later
  4. Thanks guys. It was the colour that made me buy it I had a gti in the same colour, and loved it so I sold the mk2 and bought this. However after the storm we had which included hail stones the size of golf balls it left dents on the bonnet on roof hence why I'm going to carbon wrap the roof and may save and get a carbon bonnet too and get it sprayed to match.
  5. Could be the oil cooler they sometimes leak but yours sounds more gasket related.
  6. Cheers mate, I actually fitted that exhaust that I had for the mk2 to the mk3 today. And the air filter, makes so much difference and it's not too loud either or droney when cruising on motorways etc.
  7. What wheels are they on the mk3 mate? Quite like how they sit.
  8. Yep I only use PayPal and always add item description and print screen things these days been had a few times nothing serious nor anyone off here. But PayPal have always resolved the issue.
  9. It's a good colour I can get away with not washing it for a week or two before you can start to tell
  10. Well on that note I may just go to action.
  11. I can't get enough. I feel quite smug as a lot of people at work were so negative toward team gb saying we shall fail everything etc etc and now we have 11 gold medals. I must say tho I haven't got my hopes up for 100m sprint.
  12. UPDATE: one of the advisories for the mot was that the front suspension had corrosion on the springs. So without going any further I decided I may aswell get coilovers. I went for FK AK street coilovers instead of jom and I must say they are loads better there firm but not rock solid and are quite giving when there needed to be ie potholes etc. Picture of the rear before fitting Then how it sat after they had been fitted I didnt want to go to low as I have learnt my lesson there and wanted to be able to use the power on back roads etc I have since been quite busy with house stuff listen to
  13. Did my first vr6 swap when I was 19 (yes insurance was a killer) then sold that due to the floor literally falling out. Then had a mk2 vr6 loved that thing but to old school couldnt do long driving in that too many rattles etc now I have another mk3 vr6 at the age of 21 and insurance is still silly but worth it for that noise.
  14. Should be able to make vw action and try e38 as I have never been there.
  15. Top job mate, I really need to buy a welder and learn how to weld. The possibilities are endless. Looking good mate glad to see threads and projects being updated again
  16. At least if it has 12 months mot, it shouldn't fail the next time it goes in as it hasn't moved.
  17. What's on in Santa pod in October? But good point about the vr, they are getting old now both rado and golf, and a lot either got scraped with the scrapage scheme, or have rotted or just died. And most of us younger ones can't afford the likes of a 4mo or r32 let alone the insurance and the tax. Being a big engine and petrol people are selling them to buy the Satan fuelled motors the dirty diesels for a bit of mpg (what ever that is) lol
  18. This has thrown a big spanner in the works for me haha. I was starting to save for a turbo but i may go 24v now and turbo later. Apart from the electrical gremlin, was it a difficult conversion?
  19. The only reason I had to drop out of both this and vw festival is due to money, still getting used to mortgage coming out which takes a big chunk of my money. However should be about time for my annual pay rise so next year I WILL get to a majority of the meets and shows. I think the other problem is that a lot of the meets etc seem to be quite far south, maybe we could do meets etc dotted around the country a bit more? Maybe we could start a thread asking people what they'd like to see either be changed or what would get them to come to meets and club stands at shows more? I mean I've met a
  20. Yh crankcase breather I just run one straight to the ground and cable tied to the steering rack. Brakes wise there should be plenty of power from them :/ you bled them? What servo etc you using cuz mine were fine in the mk2 and they were standard mk2 8v brakes.
  21. It runs? Panels look goo mate. Top job.
  22. I have recently done a vr6 mk2. If there are any questions let me know I will try and help. mine was into a 1991 8v gti tho. From when I did mine it's most certainly a good idea to go hydro clutch. Nice and smooth and real simple actually. Corrado pedal box and the sma thing that clips into it ( forgot what it's called). I used my 8v brake master cylinder and servo. Never had any issues. I also used vr6 throttle cable, Deleted abs, if your handy with a welder I also used the mk3 vr6 exhaust. As for the gearbox I used the cable change. However instead of cutting the tunnel to try and get it
  23. The way I see It is that's another year of driving. May aswell decat it and buy another cat before the next mot.
  24. Yh that's what i thought he meant just wanted to double check thanks guys. Also UM I know that someone on here sent you there Ecu with a list of the spec of his turbo build and you mapped the Ecu accordingly. Do you still do this?
