  1. Definitely sounds like induction more than exhaust. Probably a big ram air filter and a decent exhaust.
  2. Look at this on eBay: VR6 Camshaft Alignment Engine Repair 3268 Cam Tool VW http://bit.ly/115Zy5z That's what you need. Then put piston 1 at tdc(top dead centre). When this is done correctly you can slot that tool into the side of your cams. And take the head off then.
  3. More updates. some genuine indicators, taken apart and cleaned. lots of new bolts for it! going to measure them up and either get some pro bolt hardware or a different colour thats being a big secret at the minute Here is a sneaky shot for a friend of the mk1 cab i have been doing. thanks
  4. For those that know what this is. You should know what it's connected too, The mk1 has left the building. Sorry about the poor photo quality. Shall dig out my camera again. Thanks
  5. Lol if you need a hand just ask. And yeah it's going to last a long time with the genuine stuff. Good luck!
  6. Tbh I would stick to the original stuff. I think there is a list of part numbers on here somewhere.
  7. here is an excellent link i found with simple wiring diagram about how to wire up your nitrous kit. http://carissma.lefora.com/2011/08/14/basic-nitrous-wiring-diagrams/ enjoy!
  8. Obd2 doesn't prime until being cranked over. Check it's getting power when someone tries to turn it over.
  9. Obd1 or 2? If it is the relay I may have a spare?
  10. Check your coolant bottle, this would tell you if there is oil in there. The condensation only usually happens on new ally head such as a4's etc. It would also have to be bad for it to cause lumpy driving so maybe it's not your problem. If it is headgasket I'm about an hour away. Pm me if interested.
  11. It's just not as smooth as it could be as I had to extend it.
  12. Better response, get rid of the bodged cable I have on. I can't seem to find one that fits well with my short runner. So I thought wires would be a better option. Any thoughts?
  13. I am looking at putting my vr6 on fly by instead of a throttle cable. I know people have done it but as far as I know they have been standalone. Can you do it on standard management? Thanks
  14. Lol problem for us people ooop north is that the majority of things go on down south because that's where all the car people are. There are not that many shows up here because no one attends! Lol
  15. Maybe swap too Sebring or miltek?
  16. What back box you running? Maybe just change that
  17. You will either have to get out a hammer and grinder or get a different manifold. Plus tbh I don't know this long it will last. With turbo'd vr's you are better off waiting and buying the better stuff. Do it right the first time etc..
  18. I do, a couple of times last year. When it was running properly and not broken or running lean lol. Hopefully 2013 will be better.
  19. Just out of interest, what boost controller are you using kev? Manual or electronic. I still on manual but considering electronic.
  20. its me not being able to find it on the desktop. lol
  21. I would say it's needs a quicker way to get too new posts. Also in the new post area the text is confusing as too who wrote the post.
  22. Lol wtf. That guy has far too much time on his hands.
  23. My only downside to the show is that it's £34 to get in. £7 to park and you have to eat there unless you take your own food.
