    More updates. Wired the heater up today as it has a whole mk3 heater unit. Also wired up the gauges. And speakers for the front. This is how it stands. Upsetting when I look at it like this lol. Made these for the dash. Using the mk3 tweeter holders. Mounted my alphasonic tweeters. Dont like the look of them but they sound pretty good. Think I will have to paint them black though. As they stand out a bit. Swapped the oil cap too a black plastic as I want a fan of the polished one. Also got rid of the rubber ring around it. Thanks people

    Been busy. These were brand new 7 months ago. Fallen apart. Been driven three times. As you can see these were destroyed. Fitted this in the centre console. Finally got the fans fitted. Finally got the spots in the new grille thanks to my brother. Then this happened..... What a mess. Had a slight wobble in the steering column so fixed that. Also refitted the dash with the mk2 clocks. Will be testing these next week. I just wasn't happy with the mk3 as they will never fit properly or look good. Also got this made by a talented chap.     Haha looks good. I'm running a t04B with a schimmel intake. So not as high revving as above. I know an American with 290degree cams. Monsters.

    Yeah. I'm running a turbo anyway. But looking at buying a spare head. Rebuilding it completely. As with the thread starter. Looking at freeing up the head and making it flow better. But I know with these things there is a certain point where it becomes pointless and just a cost. Yeah drop me a text

    Is there any point going bigger on the exhaust say 2mm and 1mm inlet? Also is it worth getting any other work done like port matching gaskets etc? This is a good thread! And Daverse mine will be ready for pod in October so we can do yours after that. Text me.

    Chemical guys have a good snow foam. I'm using elites own snow at the minute but it doesn't smell too good when it's on the car. I remember seeing a cherry one on eBay not too long ago. That's my next purchase.

    I personally use it as a pre wash. Let it soak off. Rinse. Wash with two buckets and two different wash mitts. Then dry with a large microfiber drying towel. You can buy stronger snow foams that basically wash the car for you. But these are very strong and should be used with caution. If not diluted correctly then it can damage your paint. And no I don't have OCD. Honest.

    Haha yeah she will kill you. If you get caught I will take it off your hands again! Took it out for a little boost run round the block. The noise!!!! Instagram pictures New track rods as the were screwed. Also having some issues with the headlight loom... Need too sort that out. The fans have been ordered Fan control unit has been found. Power steering pump is needed. Sort out the other track rod. Mot time. It should all be done for the Gti festival at the pod in October. Thanks guys

    Right, it's now working. It's running almost perfect. Power steering pump needs looking at, and brakes still need re-bleeding. The running issue was wiring. Which is why vagcom couldn't pick it. It now picks it up. Starts first time, every time. Its on around 16 on the a/f gauge which is a bit lean at idle, I think. Maf has been taken apart and cleaned and it has made a world of difference. Anyway, here is some pictures... All the codes have been cleared and non have come back up. Cleared it up, moved some wires etc. clean as its gonna be with a daily. Making something... Dont know wh

    I used too have one. They are pretty good. Comfy cars. Only got rid of it as the lease was up and got a mk6 instead. You will be happy with it though.

    Crankcase breather filter me thinks. Pcv valve I think it's called. They are always breaking, hose usually splits and makes it run rough.

    Too the k line. Grey and white if my memory is correct. The vagcom worked fine on a Leon so iit wasn't the laptop.
