  1. Brief update. After the hassle of stripping the threads on one of my rh adapters on the way to Stanford, I managed to order some new 25mm rh adapters with steel inserts as oppose to the 20mm one i had one previously. So i now have 17x8 rh zw1's all round with 205/40 falken ze914s with 25mm adapters. A great tyre that gives a little subtle stretch on the 8j rim. If anyone was to run this set up in the future I'd recommend 25mm adapters all round. 20mm is too close to the suspension locking collars. If you have rolled arches then 30mm would be fine. But it all depends how low you want to go.
  2. So managed managed to get everything ready, injectors fitted, progressive meth kit installed and relocated the filter and maf to the passengers gets wing. Limped up to stealth and finally allowed vince to work his magic. Vince installed a new high flow fuel pump, map and unfortunately I needed a new lambda sensor as mine was non responsive. Luckily one was delivered and the end result 291bhp & 261lbs ft. Vince has done wonders with the car and there have been a few moments I considered giving up but I'm pleased with the results. Would just like to say a massive thanks to vince for his h
  3. So while waiting to get the car mapped at stealth I've been missing driving it so treated the inside to some tic and retrimmed the headlining and sun visors etc. I really wanted some nice alcantara but its not cheap and As it was my first attempt at trimming I opted for some nice plush black cloth at about £40 for a 2x1m strip, just in case things didn't go to plan. Theres a few tiny niggles but overall I'm chuffed with the results. Cost about £55 in total what with spray glue and evostick glue. The interior has been totally transformed and I'd recommend everyone should give it a go! --
  4. Cheers, never thought of trying to bring the filter back up into the bay there. Not sure I'll have the space in the corrado engine bay but looking to get it all sorted Saturday so will post some pics.
  5. Had to delay my rotrex mapping at stealth until I fit this methanol injection kit I've just purchased. Question is I'm undecided where to mount the pump and whether to use the washer bottle or to buy a separate bottle and mount that too. Issue would be a lack of space mounting both the pump and another washer bottle. I know if I use the existing washer bottle as a meth tank I'll mess up my wind screen wash ability but if I ever sell the car I'm sure a new washer bottle can be sourced cheap, the advantage is that it's 4l and already in situ. I'm thinking at the moment to mount the pump to th
  6. Cheers, yes as said you'll need the calipers and carriers, 6mm stainless steel spacers, bought from eBay for £10, this is because the 312 discs have a slightly different offset so need spacing out to fit, longer hi tensile bolts and some good ridge hoses. Fitted mk4 rears at the same time so made use of the hoses package, and yes these are crammed under 16" oz wheels
  7. Small update, been collecting parts for a while to finish off the charger install. Had my 312s and mk4 rears in the boot and decided to get them installed in prep for getting the car mapped Had some trouble bleeding the brakes as has been discussed before. There is a lot more pedal travel than before but once they bite the braking force is immense they are certainly an improvement and don't fade after a second or two like the 280s, they just bite harder and throw you forward in your seat. Painted them smooth gold to match the charger bracket and intake pipe Standard 280s Audi TT 312s
  8. As said before awesome work so far. Top quality. Any pics of the engine. Are you planning on keeping it standard for the time being?
  9. Trial fitting Oil cooler plumbed in Air filter in the wing Installed
  10. So last few days have been emotional. Being optimistic we started the rotrex install last Friday in a hope to drive down with ramsey on the Sunday but a whole host of issues. Ant it was no where near ready so I was gutted to miss the ccgb national day. Anyway in short it's alive! Sort of. It's all been a steep learning curve for me but I love to learn about how stuff works The install was a pain, I had an old bracket I believe thus we had to attach it and take it off numerous time to get all of the pulleys lined up, shave a few mm off of the block as it was fouling the bracket and then one of
  11. Right, if i ust have this isv pipe ive bought another silicone t piece so im hoping to connect that on the end of metal intake pipe and TB inlet so i can then attatch the isv pipe to this...in theory what does this isv pipe, help regulate revs?? Thanks for the help
  12. Looks nice, never driven a golf Vr but the highlines were meant to be more powerful with the obd2 software so should be pretty quick
  13. Hmm, the metal hardpipe just has the one outlet for the re-circ valve and one small screw hole, think maybe for meth injection?? The original intake elbow did have 2 holes, one for the recirc valve to plumb the boost back in and i thought the other was for the crank case breather? i am not using this intake elbow tho as it was worn and i have bought a new metal t piece for the re-circ valve? Ive never come across this isv pipe issue in all other peoples rotrex installs? is it just an obd1 issue? Surely rotrex wouldnt have just forgot about this when making the kit? If i must have this isv pi
  14. Cheers paul,. the rotrex hardpipe has one hole in it so i might have to try and see if i can get this connected up to the isv pipe then? not sure it will work tho as the hole is small and only seems like a small screw outlet? Ill make sure the maf is sealed corectly and blank everything else off etc?
  15. Cheers, everyone back now? Anyone installed a rotrex on an obd1 set up like mine before?
