If you had the timing out it would be further out then 2mm, say it would be near on 10mm out if you were 1 tooth out. Did you line the rear of the cams up, with the locking plate to hold them both? Check your plugs, always worth it after a rebuild, check to see if they are wet with fuel-if they are, bin them. They will never be right, and could cause you problems. I think the blue sender sends a signal to the ecu, the yellow is used for the dash, coolant run-on pump and fan run-on.
