    yeah.....standard , i got the same set up at moment.You got it remapped ? i got the bits for stage 3 but use it as a daily and need something a bit more reliable .

    was thinking that dude , but i have not got the gearbox heat exchanger hooked up so i might damaged the transmission fluid if i run it without cooling , i have found out its the top one.......funny you would always think its the bottom one...

    hI , i am in the process of installing a transmission cooler on the vento vr6 as i am running a supercharger on an auto box and running the cooler to keep the transmission temps down under heavy load ect The question i have is , i need to plumb into the return on the cooling system so which hose would the best to plumb into? i need the cool fluid to flow into the tranmission heat exchanger on top of the auto gearbox its very similar set up to a oil cooler but working on the coolant side Any idea , all installed and ready to go just need to connect the pipes up.....

    the water pump can be done if you know what you doing....mine has just gone but i am sending it in to be done as i dont have the time you need to loosen engine mounts/jack up engine/remove belt and tensioner then remove pump while engine is lifted as you cant get it out without lifting engine i think if you have patience and a good haynes book to go by then you should be ok but since i have got my charger and bits in the way i have opted to have it done is yours making a funny noise or leaking?

    i think checking gear oil is ab it hard to do as my understanding it was a sealed unit and only need refilling after a few 1000;s miles ect.... when i drive my auto i usually have to put the foot brake on then select gear , or are you just trying to change gear without the foot brake?

    get a second hand one and try that first before you shell out for the cash first......

    i would buy a 50ft reel , i used 25ft and was a bit short..rather but more and you can just cut it i been running mine without an upgraded engine mounts and so far so good....i am having a rear one put in but thats for the charger and extra power

    hottuning are popular and if you sometimes make them a offer they can do them cheaper they are all raceland ones i think the ones you mentioned above.Strictly dubs do them for a good price to , they fitted mine as they are down the road from me. nothing wrong with raceland ones....

    never run it without coolant......will check it again today , cant be bothered with doing water pump as it looks like a mission to do , will send it in for that!

    why would the water pump leak? is hoses connected? easy to change ect?

    ok , i replaced the hoses the other day with samco ones , then after that i had a leak , so i managed to strip out the crack pipe (alloy one) and replace the o-rings and replaced everything back again(without throwing my tools around) now , filled it up and i still have the leak and i have no idea where its coming from , it looks like its coming from the pulley end as its dropping off the power steering pump.......anything i should look for? driving me completely mad...might end up taking the whole front off to find it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thanks

    yeah i would map it with cams dude.........make a bigger difference..... gets costly if you add mods then keep mapping..... stick all the bits on first then take it to be mapped.....

    well managed to get it out without taking out battery.....When you put it back in do you assemble the crack pipe in housing then put into block? def need new o-rings.....the one has a slight break , hence the leak i think....they must of damaged it when putting it in.... thanks for the help guys , came out pretty easy , hope it goes back in easy..lol

    FOUND OUT that the auto has a transmission cooler which comes off the rad inlet and outlet....not so good when you have manual samco hoses......so now had to order a stand alone transmission cooler from german as the not that popular in the uk and to expensive to import one from states..... well least my transmission will be a bit cooler for when i put my foot down!
