  1. pay the same price for weitecs.... if your happy with a set hight then yeah..i would go with a 50mm/30mm set up , as you want a bit of stance........40/30 didnt do much on mine..looked same
  2. how easy is it to fit the s2 calipers? do they fit on stanard brake discs?
  3. weitec are a good make , or you could get some raceland coilovers... the weitec shock and spring set up is a bit pricey

  5. yeah usually standard....but since i have an auto supercharged vr6 i am going to be installing a transmission cooler next week...
  6. cheers...just mad as i put new vw coolant in....20 quid later , see if i can drain it and reuse it........

  8. yeah i replaced them with some better ones but the one outlet to the rad on the engine block side was upside down and could not get in there......it was such a mission!!
  9. whats the best way to get to the crack pipe on the vr6 , i think mine has a slight leak ..it was changed for a gruven one a while ago i need to get to it but since i did not install it i dont have a clue...lol Thanks
  10. Does anybody know what the item sitting on the auto gearbox is for? it has pipes coming into it from the cooling system. I replaced my hoses yesterday but the samcos did not have an outlet to join up to this so i have just left it off i will try and get a pic later buts its very close to the outlet and inlet water pipes on the engine for the rad thanks
  11. well might give it a try next month..my hands are shredded from replacing the hoses yesterday , took about 1 hour to get the one radiator hose off , stupid vw clips!

  15. i got one of those custome ones , the problem is raising the engine to get the bolts out!! i got it placed nicely just couldnt raise it enough
  16. NOT AT MOMENT......but it bypass out of one main pipe and into another

HI , i replaced my hoses today with samco ones on the vento vr.....only question is as i am not sure , some of the pipes ran into a unit above the gearbox , looks like a little water heat exchanger or something , but the samco hoses i have totally bypass that...do i have the right ones? its an auto so not sure if it makes a difference? 1997 vr6
  18. i want to put a lower strut brace on the vento vr6 but the sump is in the way of the bolts......how do i raise it enough? i undid both rear engine mounts but it still wasnt enough!!! the charger was nearly touching the slam panel ! any ideas guys?
  19. i set about trying to replace the rear engine mount on the vento vr 1997 and its a bit of a mission unless i am doing something wrong so i have a few questions 1.is the rhs engine mount the RHS looking into engine or RHS from Driver seat? when i attempted the rhs from the engine view it looksed different 2.how to you get the mount out? i raised the engine as much as i could and it would not come out , do i need to release the front engine mount? this is the one i am trying to replace http://webhosting.web.com/imagelib/sitebuilder/misc/show_image.html?linkedwidth=actual&linkpath=http://www.

  24. for the price you cant complain...you cant expect them to perform like a 500+ quid kit......i got some on the vento and they are fine...just make sure you grease them up before with some hardcore grease
