  1. As title suggests, I have the dreaded ABS warning light on the dash and the VR is due for it's MOT... I went to see Sparkz in north London and he kindly plugged his VAG-COM in (thanks again Sparkz) to diagnose the fault. Unfortunately the VAG-COM couldn't read the fault codes and an error message along the lines of "too many errors" came up. As I drove home last night (ambient temperature was around 20 degrees) I couldn't make the light come on for love nor money. I turned the car on and off 4 or 5 times without issue, however when I jumped in this morning (temperature had dropped over night
  2. Feel a bit cheeky asking, but my ABS light is on and I was hoping that someone might be kind enough to let me plug their vagcom in to my VR?... Cheers Phill
  3. Took the car to an Auto 'box specialist in Luton on Friday and he diagnosed the car with a faulty speed sensor (could also be a broken wire or faulty gearbox ECU), which is good news as it means that it's not terminal! The guys reckons it should be fixable for around £100.
  4. As the title suggests the box on my '95 VR6 has decided that it wants to hold onto the gears for a bit longer, like it is permanently stuck in sport mode. It's more of an annoyance that anything as the box is shifting ok and will move into top when on a motorway without issue. Has anybody else experienced anything similar or can anyone help?!... Cheers Phill
  5. Hey guys, I only noticed this rather bizzare symptom this morning hence I haven't had an opportunity to investigate yet, but i thought I'd try you lot first to see if anyone else may have had a similar issue. I was in top at around 1500rpm when i hit an incline and noticed the car jumping, almost like the box was going for a downshift and then changing its mind at the last minute. I quickly realised that to cure the fault all I had to do was nail the throttle, so unfortunately I'm going to have to adopt a maximum attack driving profile until it's sorted. Shame. Any ideas?...
