  3. if u definately have fuel and spark then maybe the crankshaft sensor??? have u tried getting it on VAGCOM??

  6. similar problem here but happens when i unlock the car.... passenger side rear window winds itself down about 2 inches. doesnt happen often, maybe 10% of the time, havent got a clue why im afraid:/ EDIT: BTW hi strawberry im from Hounslow as well, u may have seen my motor about:)
  7. yes it is supposed to turn on then turn off... spreadz....does yr airbag light work ok (should come on then off when key is turned) if not then it may be that the light unit isnt plugged in.... if thats not the case then the light has probably blown, easiest to get a new one on fleabay, its eay enuff to change IIRC the unit just levers off with a screwdriver there is always also the possibility that the light has been tampered with by a previous owner to mask an abs fault:(
  8. later obd1 cars like mine have the obd2 type port so it may be possible, altho that is for obd1s with coilpack not dizzy:/
  9. never seen one of them b4, nice motor, or it will be once uve been at it with some polish.... agree on the wheels they look a bit wrong to me personally id debadge the v6 for a superb sleeper:)

  11. for the lumpy running check whether u r getting good sparks to all cylinders then try swapping leads/plugs around to diagnose the problem b4 u get a new coilpack as they aint cheap. as far as the coolant goes the light indicates low coolant level not high temp so would make sense it coming on if the header tank was empty, leak could be anywhere in the system so its a case of examining the whole thing... i was leaking coolant slowly (litre per month odd) for ages b4 i worked out it was the radiator:/
  12. even tho the weight of the vr6 golf is nearly 1 1/4 tonne u will never be putting that whole weight on the jack anyway, only one corner at a time so the other wheels or axel stands also take a proportion of the weight
  13. windsor blue is LN5Y mystic blue like mine is - LC5L if u have the service schedule for the car the paint code is on the sticker inside the cover

  15. looking at this again i reckon its a diy engine conversion going by the fact that it has drums on the rear, and a properly cheap interior.... neither of these points say 325 to me....

  21. its not what i would call a racing car at all, and in its standard guise its not hugely fast considering the engine size.... it is however a lot of fun and it sounds awesome:D
