  1. yeah apparantly its not too kind to your paintwork with frequent use so its best not to use too often. ive only had the car just over a month tho so i hadnt cleaned up the paintwork properly before, with regular use of wax tho hopefully shell stay shiney now:)
  2. theyre1/2 lexus style 1/2 led, i like the way they brighten up the back of the car.... standard smoked looks a bit dull with dark colour paintwork

  4. BUMP.... is there anyone out there who has fitted led indicators and not given up???
  5. brake lights?? do u mean indicators?? surely brake lights shouldnt be flashing??
  6. as far as i had been made aware, leds have a different resistance, therefore with a fixed 12v they are drawing a different current than standard bulbs affecting the relay... (the same way that when u blow an indicator bulb the remaining ones flash faster) i could be wrong about this tho....its only what ive heard, if no one else knows what im going on about then ill just try fitting them and see what happens....
  7. ive just received some FK LED repeaters and ive heard that i need to add a resistor to the circuit in order to maintain the standard blinking speed. has anyone had any experience with this as im not sure what rating i need and i would like to get hold of the parts b4 i take my standard ones out...
  8. during a rehersal for a charity racing event no less. pretty poor way to raise funds for charity, crashing one of the most expensive cars around,... :/
  9. ive just attached some new led light clusters to the back of my mk3 and need some help with wiring for the nearside cluster there are the following plugs: 8pin 5pin 1pin for the offside cluster there is just a single 6pin... so i figure that the wiring goes from the switches thru the near side cluster ending at the offside. however the new clusters have sockets for the 8pin and 5 pin on the nearside but not one for the 1pin b4 the change the fog light was on the offside but this no longer works however the nearside fog works instead (so not MOT failure) this would indicate the single pin plug
  10. hehe yr just too l8 there it arrived yesterday and is now fitted in my car:)

  13. ok so basicly it shouldnt really be an issue for about 20k anyway, and even then its only if it becomes noisy??? the main thing i was worried about is engine damage if theres a problem... but i suppose that chains dont have the same issues as standard belts do in that respect... thanx for the reply
  14. probably a bit of a n00b question, but hey, im a n00b;) ive just got hold of a 77k milage fsh car, and im assuming that the chains havent been replaced... what sort of milage should thay be replaced at and what would be a reasonable (non-dealer) price to expect to pay??? thanx
