  1. The mileage is high for selling on value - but if you want to hold onto it then it wouldnt put me off. Looks like a nice example. BUT what sort of price does he want for it. I've just had a quick look and seen a bargain: http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/CARS_popup.jsp?searchform=&modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&photo=1&state=block&sort=3&hassearched=Y&make=VOLKSWAGEN&min_pr=75&source=0&model=ANY&max_pr=&miles=1500&agerange=&mileage=&postcode=cf82+7rb&variant=vr6&bodyid=0&trim=&fuelid=0&colour=&transm

  4. If i was you i'd get an R36 lump put in - more bhp as standard (280) and they are near enough the same size&weight. Plus still use the same mounts and box etc http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphotos.cfm/spyphotoID/6070313.001/page/1/country/gcf/volkswagen/spy-photos-vw-golf-r36

  6. Nice motor - Is there any room to charge her in that bay??
  7. I was tempted to buy this when i was looking - but i ended up buying a cheaper one and spending a fortune on it. To be honest i think yours still looks classier lol
  8. I love the rims - proper classics!! We all love the BBS but so many people have them on the VR now (lucky buggers) but the Borbets in 16" r sexy!!
  9. Common fault with the wiper arm - the weather can make it brittle which makes them snap easy - happened to my mate and the VW new one looked stronger and better. Both cars are nice - Good Pics!!
  10. I think the mk3 VR is a recognised classic to any car enthusiasts eyes. Dont for get the mk3 kicked off 1991/1992
  11. I'm sure they didnt do a highline with the plastic arches?????? Can someone confirm this????
  12. My mate used to have a M Reg VR6 in a 3 Door Black. It wasn't a Highline as it had the plastic arches extra - But the Spec was awesome!! I had everything including the climatronic in it and to this day its the best VR6 i have ever seen. It also have the 16" BBS slit rim aniversary wheels on her. 2 years ago he part exchanged it with a MTM 340BHP S3 with a young guy in London. The VR had a bored out Skip Brown tuned engine 3.1 with the works on it - Guessing 230bhp. It only have 50k on the clock aswel Just wondering, Does Anyone Know of this car due to being as high spec as it is?? Would be nic
  13. Well i have read this whole thread lol I have a mate who works in Motorworld and i had the luck in trying lots of filters. K&n, pipercross, green cotten, universal and a carbon forsed one. The carbon fibre forced induction kits was probably the worse sound but the cold air feed meant the car was faster topend, but i noticed a loss of power in low revs (Not good when u live in wales with all the hills lol) The K&n felt like the standard box but made a rumble when floorin it. The pipercross was slightly better with a nice rumble but when the engine was hot the power dropped. I ended up f
  14. Looks like he tried selling it lastweek aswel but know luck: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1982-VW-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-2-9-VR6-MK1-BBS-RS-ALLOYS_W0QQitemZ280094502063QQcategoryZ9873QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I've actually tried getting hold of him on all the numbers lol - one guys she it was he's old car and he sold it for £5k to the new owner who is having problems getting insurance on it. Not one of the other numbers has anwsered my calls or texts :-( lol Oh well looks like i'll end up buying the R32 after all
  15. Thats a great result mate - What was the torque level?? Plus can we see a pic of the graph as it would be nice to see the areas where the power is comin from :-)
  16. I am in complete and utter love with this sexy thing!! http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/143987.htm I would even consider straight swapping my car for it :-s not really sure what its worth like but i dont care i want it lol... My R32 dreams can wait!!!
  17. The standard manifold i was told by my exhaust centre is a restrictor, the 6 branchers and full systems will give a big difference in performance. Depending on what bore size the rest of the system is running i'd say: On a 2 and a half inch bore 185bhp and 180lb On a 2 and three quarter inch bore 195bhp and 186lb. The branch manifold will bring ur torque levels up to near enough ur horse level So yes Jays with a N/A, Super or turbo car you can have the torque allot more.
  18. Does anyone know the Best Dub forums to try selling her on??
  19. No sadly as he is buying the porka he doesnt need another car. So i'd have to sell my baby first. How much does a mint highline go for on here lads (in reality)??
  20. Lol - well i didn't know the Grey was rare and i'm not going to promote it to him either. I have a m8 in VW so when he bought it i stopped him from signing on the day. Two days later i had my other m8 give him £4k off the list price. And i sourced the Miltech from another mate for £300. He have bought a 911 (996) and the garaged offered him the £12 thats why he said i could have it at that price. Plus i help him get the porka aswel lol I do have my fingers in a few pies you know :-)

    passat

I'm not a fan of the Passat as its so BIG - Maybe i am a bit bias as i am only 25 and havent got a family to think about. So small sports cars are what i like.
  22. Been looking for a while and he car is easy worth £15-£16k, i cant find any under £13k even with high mileage :-s The few £k i have was going to charge her, but i'll not get that back either. I'd only expect around £4k for my car now if i was to sell it soon. I was always going to get a R32 in the end anyway.
