I totally agree with you guys - By the way VR Mofo where do you find the price listing for the Rotrex Chargers?? I know stealth sell them. Cos the money isn't the problem and if other stages are avalible then more bhp for the money would be very nice :-D

My mate is big VAG fan and has had mk2 vr6's, a 3.1 mk3 vr6 etc etc in the past His last car was an Audi S3 with an MTM Conversion - its was 342bhp and he ended its life side on into a tree lol The car was insured as a standard S3 so he's stripped the Conversion parts off. The conversion in all was £9k and thats the turbo all the bits, chip and the brakes. So what would you do?? Buy another one and put the conversion back onto it or buy another motor. Dont get me wrong the S3 with that bhp was flying - we p*ssed all over m3's and an evo 6 at one point. But i couldn't buy the same car twice. M

Just had a look on flebay and there are some nice exhaust systems on there for reasonalbe money. But the OEM vr6 exhaust is 2 and a half inch bore and the 16v one is 2 or 2 and a quarter. People dont think about this and install them all the time not knowing that they are taking power away and not adding it. When i bought my car the previous owner was so chuffed with the bubble of the exhaust it was his big selling point. When i told him it was a GTi system on there he was gutted lol

Octavia VRS Engine & Box Into Mk3 VR6 Shell - Easy?

MTM Conversion: http://www.qstuning.com/products.jsp?page=products&manufac=3&model=20&variant=59 They are pricey but you can get the bits cheaper - but they are the best German tuners out there for that engine. This is a lad i've used a few times website and he's sh*thot aswel: http://www.e-maps.co.uk/products/Skoda/Octavia/ I used him a few times and got him down to £160 to come to my home and remap my motor (thought it was a bargain so used him on every car i've had lol) -
I believe in Powerful/Longlife/Pro-Speed exhausts as they are all custom fitted and individual to your taste. I believe they work out cheap in most cases. Also - the VR6 rear silencer (before backbox) is massive - i recommend having a straight through pipe as it creates better flow and correct back pressure. This will save you weight 2 :-) My Exhaust system: Raceland 6 branch manifold (£150 - Ebay awesome deal) Sport Cat (full racing spec - £260) Full Stainless 2 and 3 quarter inch system (manifold back) with twin DTM rear and no silencers - £450)

Bugger Bugger Bugger Bugger :'( lol

The Syncro is LHD only dont forget

from £250 - £500 depending on what you want. Make sure they use 2 and 3 quarter inch piping as the VR runs best on it. By the way lads the ABS is not on the MOT test sheet - what is on there is fault finding (meaning - if there is any faults shown its failed) just like you dont have to have a spare tyre in the car but if you do and its warn then you'll fail. Lots of cars that have been in crashes in the past will have had there airbag light on all the time - 90% of traders just pull out the fuse and it passes the MOT. Its sad i no but traders will do anyting they can to make a quick buck. I

Octavia VRS Engine & Box Into Mk3 VR6 Shell - Easy?
Paul1982 replied to Seademon's topic in General Chat
I Kinda Agree with you Antera - a 16v is alot cheaper and you might be able to find a nice set up shell with a fooked engine for pennys :-) - The good thing about the 1.8T conversion is that the weight will mean it will handle alot better than the VR and as a track car this is very important. Keep up up2 date with what your up2 2f2g -
The Sad thing is Antera, i've spent so much money on my VR at the mo that swapping it for a Syncro would brake my little heart lol

Its 15 degree to 12 degree i thought

I'd charge her personally. If she was 4wd or Rwd then turbo. But as its fwd the progressing power pull of the S/C makes it a faster car with the low down torque. Plus its cheaper to get 300bhp than Turbo. After that then turbo starts working out cheaper - but then DO YOU REALLY WANT ALL THAT POWER IN A FWD!!!!! lol i would as it would wreck my VR 300hp would be awesome. U have a nice 2.9 lump aswel - CHARGE HER BABY!!

There was a R36 engine for sale in the US and it went for silly money as there are so many people who want this mk3 r36 lol Can't wait to see the first one :-( wish i had the finances to do it but have to wait a while till money is in hand.

Highline Black - Bugger lol seems like a few of us out there - thought it was rarer than this :'( lol

Sounds like a good time to get yourself a nice stainless exhaust system ;-) Bugger getting OEM exhaust. £436 is silly money aswel. £250 cat back system and pull the fuse out of the fuse box on the ABS sensor. 95% of the MK3's with ABS have doggy sensors - doesn't always mean they dont work. Take it out go brake hard some where and see if shes still OK. for an MOT u dont need a ABS light - BUT if there is a problem showing they have to fail you. Do it yourself and save hundreds plus the car will run alot better with a stainless exaust. Do it my way and it will put a smile on yourface every t

In the body panel world you are totally right - u do get for what you pay for. I had a similar problem a few months ago. One wing was rusty and my drives door was and there was scratches here and there. Lucky as my mate is in this trade he ground the rust of and rebuild the certain areas. Plus re-newed the sills as the mk3 is prown to then rotting. So i had all that done and a full body mop and it cost me £450. Thought that was a bargain been as 80% of the car looked brand new :-) £1400 does seem high but if they are highly recommended then you can have every confidence in them. Good luck!!

My Green cotten air filter is one of the best in my eyes - very quiet for around town driving and when on full blast it sounds beautiful. I agree heat soak can create a problem but very minimal.
-
Manual All the way for me - If i still have my car in the next 2 years - i'll be putting an R36 with a R32 manual gearbox in the MK3. Hopefully i'll have more funds to Charge it aswell..... But i need to convert it 2 4wd and thats going to chew up 60% of my money :'(. But 450bhp 4wd mk3 would be the bollox i think :-)

Thats why i think she looks good - knock the price down 2 £1300 and rip his arm off lol

Strip it and put a full weld in cage - Eibach Coilovers and roll bars. The engine is the same as the Golf/TT so MTM/AMD do good chips boosting the standard car power level over 265bhp. I have a mate who remaps them for £160 lol and the Golf 180 turns into 245bhp - Change intercooler etc and its 300bhp You have a very very good tunable engine there which costs pennies to get bhp figures higher
